Lovely stay

Lovely place to stay in nice quieter neighbourhood of Santa Cruz and Gianna and Roberto are fabulous hosts. Nice breakfast, lovely pool, nice pace relax on hammocks on rooftop.

Great time

Our stay in the hotel was great. We loved the castle style of the place. The personnel was friendly and they kept our room always clean. The only drawback was the Wi-Fi, connection was slow and bad.

Loved the hotel, we stayed in the Sun & Moon room which had its own turret! We had two outdoor areas to relax on. Great views. Pool was a life saver on a hot day. Breakfast was very nice

Wonderful stay!

On the edge of town in a quiet location. Our room had lovely art with beautiful tile throughout. Lovely courtyard with pool. The on-site owner was a fantastic host. Delicious breakfast to start the day. The Sun & Moon room is exceptional. Enjoy your stay!

We had an amazing stay here largely due to the fantastic host Gianna! From the minute we arrived she provided us with lots of information on what to do on the island, would book us tours, and made sure we were always well taken care of! The breakfast was great, and hotel was very unique with beautiful view over the national park. Enjoyed jumping in the pool every day. Short walk to the main shopping/restaurants area and only about 15 minute walk to the Charles Darwin station. We stayed 3 extra nights here and would love to come back one day!

We only stayed for one night but enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and gave great travel recommendations. It was clean and they offered us a free room upgrade which was very kind. They helped us try to coordinate travelling to other islands and answered our questions. The location was a little bit isolated but still not too far from the Charles Darwin research centre and from restaurants.

The Haro family has created a gem, impeccably attended to, with interior/exterior attention to detail at the property shockingly beautiful. The volcanic rock, tile, wood interface inside and out is wonderful to behold. The suites are beautiful, the pool, though small, is immaculate, and great for laps. The outdoor kitchen where each breakfast is served is quaint and delightful. One simply can’t believe that such a charming beautiful property could even exist within the rough hewn untamed beauty of the Galapagos. Just a short walk to the town square with fabulous restaurants, every mouthful is delectable. The Haro’s have created a grand slice of Heaven on Earth and have given their heart, mind and soul to this property. BRAVO. If only other hotel owners took such pride in presenting themselves to their clients!🙏

There are not enough words to describe our amazing stay at La Fortaleza De Haro! We were greeted warmly upon our arrival by Gianna and Roberto, and that first class hospitality never ended (even after we checked out). As soon as I even booked our stay, I received an e-mail with ideas on our Santa Cruz itinerary. Gianna recommended a solid plan, which led to an unforgettable experience. They genuinely care about their guests. The hotel is super cool, and in a nice, quiet location (and was built by Roberto). Breakfast was fabulous, and we enjoyed our time by the pool. This is a fortress, and you will not regret your decision to stay here! If you have the opportunity to stay in the tower, do it!!

Gianna and Roberto are friendly and accommodating. This estate is a castle with a pool and private quarters. Breakfast is provided each day, but the kitchen is not available to guests. Quite a pleasant place to stay.

This is a great place to stay. It looks new and is very clean with nice owners. The town is small and walking an extra five minutes for this place is worth it. Of my three hotels so far in Ecuador, this was the only quiet one. Because it is on a dead end, you don't get the loud street noices and the motorcycle wake up call at 6:30am.

Exceeded High Hopes

The proprietors are friendly and helpful way beyond the call of duty. Gianna is helpful because she wants her guests to have an exceptional experience, and she seems to enjoy simply helping others. They helped with very inexpensive tours, and most importantly, helping us know exactly what to do for finding COVID-19 testing back in Quito for our onward journey. The hotel borders the National park, so it is quiet . Our room was private, nice breeze or air conditioning. The pool is beautiful and breakfast was perfect. The architecture and feel are really fun. We would return in a heartbeat and never consider another alternative.
