Right on the only lake at the foot of the Schneeberg, set against an enchanting mountain backdrop, you’ll find our unique chalets built in the traditional timber-frame style of the Schneeberg forest farmers—some of which are still under construction— though the very first brand-new chalets are already available for booking by curious guests at attractive introductory rates. The construction primarily uses regional materials such as mountain larch, white pine, spruce, and limestone, allowing the chalets to blend seamlessly into the natural landscape. Combined with stylish living comfort and optimal (including digital) infrastructure, the chalets offer the ideal retreat. The host’s family has lived and worked here in harmony with nature for over 400 years and places the utmost importance on passing this environment on intact to future generations. Working in and with nature and living a healthy life have been successfully practised here for centuries. The Schneeberg, Lower Austria’s highest mountain at 2,076 metres, and its only lake right in front of the chalets offer numerous opportunities for relaxation and active holidaymakers. Whether you simply want to relax and take a deep breath, enjoy the enchanting views, or go swimming, climbing, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, biking, ski touring, or snowshoeing—you can also savour natural foods sourced from the nearby waters, pastures, and forests. In addition, the Schneebergland region and the Vienna Alps offer a wealth of variety: a cogwheel train and ski lift take you effortlessly up the Schneeberg; a panoramic road leads to the Hohe Wand; and cable cars serve the Rax and Semmering. Extensive mountain bike trails, the Sierningtal Nature Park, and much more ensure that your stay in this region is always exciting.
