"We were in Joburg to visit family before a flight out to USA. The room was excellent - esp the view across to Little Falls and the city. Best of all they were very accommodating of our need for an extended checkout at a reasonable fee so that we could head tot he airport rested. "

"Everyone is very friendly. It has a clean and fresh feeling when you arrive. The room was spacious and bed very comfortable. Terrence was especially helpful to us and always with a smile. There is a mall very close and lots of restaurants. However we were told not to walk around there after dark. So we drove the 3 blocks and parked in the garage for less than $1. Worth it. We would stay here again. "

"The Vantage is great. Everything, except for the check in and check out, where it was said that we didn’t pay the full amount. This was not true and fortunately we had print outs to proof the upfront payment. After an apology we were allowed into the apartment. Upon checking out we had the same problem. The payment issue between The Vantage and Hotels.com should not become the guest’s problem."

"The hotel is small, but with well appointed rooms. The shower in room 3 was tiny tho. Hotel has a nice restaurant and a very good breakfast. However, if you order aiport transfer confirm before your flight cos somehow they forgot to arrange transfer and it was a long cold wait at the airport. Super unpleasant after a very long flight. "

"Excellent and worth it! Staff was extremely accommodating and courteous. The rides to the casino on a cold night were very appreciated and the breakfast buffet was amazing!"

"I've stayed in a lot of hotels across South Africa. This is right up there with the best. Super friendly staff who go miles out of their way to help. A driver on standby, great food, stunning space, I can't recommend it highly enough."

"The room was quite comfortable. I stayed in the winter and there was no heating, but the blankets were sufficient to stay warm. Two towels are provided, but there is no soap or toiletries. The room was serviced daily, but I had to ask for toilet paper. The entrance to the hotel is difficult to miss and is a locked sliding door. Sometimes the staff at the entrance take a while to open the door. The location is a eight minute walk from Rosebank mall. It is a nice place to stay at a reasonable...

"The staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast in the morning. Comfortable Room. Melville shopping centre nearby about a 15 minute walk and area felt safe to me. Using uber is a good way to go to areas further out. Very much enjoyed the days tours organised by the guesthouse with tour guide Ephraim. I recommend 84th on 4th Guesthouse as a very nice place to stay in Johannesburg."
