The best area to stay in Proseč is directly within the village centre, particularly around the main square, for convenient access to local amenities and the region's natural beauty.

Proseč is a small, picturesque village located in the Železné Hory (Iron Mountains) Protected Landscape Area. The village centre is quite compact, with its main square serving as the focal point. Here, you'll find the Church of St. Nicholas and a few local shops and eateries. The surrounding area is characterised by rolling hills, forests, and traditional Czech cottages.

For couples seeking a peaceful retreat, staying in the village centre or just on its outskirts is ideal. You'll be within easy walking distance of the village's modest offerings, and have immediate access to numerous walking and cycling trails that wind through the beautiful countryside.

The best time to visit Proseč is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is at its finest for outdoor activities and exploring the Vysocina Region.

During these months, you'll find pleasant temperatures and longer daylight hours, superb for hiking or cycling through the rolling hills and forests that surround Proseč. It's also an ideal time for enjoying the local countryside and the many picturesque villages nearby. Families will appreciate the opportunities for outdoor adventures, from gentle walks to more challenging trails, making the most of the good weather.

For those looking for a quieter experience with fewer crowds and still agreeable weather, late spring (May) or early autumn (September) are excellent alternatives. The landscape is particularly beautiful during these shoulder seasons, with wildflowers blooming in spring and the leaves changing colour in autumn.
