Hotel Trakoscan

Hotel Trakoscan

10/10 Excellent
"This hotel was excellent value for the price. I was very impressed by the quality of everything associated with the hotel. The furniture in the room seemed brand new. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was 6 stars, because the shower actually had a shelf to put your own soap and shampoo on. In other hotels and apartments, there are no shelves in shower, so you have to put the your razor, etc. on the floor, which is a terrible idea. This bathroom also had hooks to hang your clothes while other hotels have no place to put your stuff. The breakfast was phenomenal! They offered everything under the sun: a variety of breads, sausages, franks, all kinds of eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, cakes, croissants, juices, coffees, etc., too many things to list. The surrounding hills were beautiful with the fall colors. All in all, I would love to come back again!"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Pristava?
The best area to stay in Pristava is the area immediately surrounding Lake Bled, particularly on the eastern and northern shores.

This region is the heart of Pristava's appeal, offering direct access to the lake and its iconic island church. The main promenade along the eastern shore is lined with hotels, restaurants, and boat rental services, making it very convenient for exploring. You'll find yourself close to Bled Castle, perched on a cliff overlooking the lake, and the starting points for various walking and cycling paths.

Couples looking for a romantic escape will find the eastern shore particularly appealing. Many hotels here offer rooms with stunning lake views, and it's easy to take a traditional pletna boat ride to Bled Island or enjoy a lakeside stroll. The area provides a peaceful backdrop for a relaxing holiday, with plenty of opportunities for dining with a view.

For families, the northern shore offers a good balance of accessibility and recreational activities. It's home to some of the larger resorts that often feature amenities like swimming pools and playgrounds.

The landscapes are particularly picturesque during these times, with spring blooms or autumn colours adding to the scenery.

For those who enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, or simply enjoying the tranquil surroundings, these months provide the superb conditions.
