"My partner and I weren’t sure what to expect from this cabin in the woods — I grew up in the area and still wasn’t familiar with the location — and it really did exceed our expectations.The kitchen was generously stocked, the heating/cooling system was modern and easy to use, and the bathrooms were clean and stocked with complimentary soaps and shampoos. I couldn’t convince my partner to sleep up in what appeared to be a cozy loft, but the bed we slept in was comfortable, as was the furniture in the main living room.We didn’t go downstairs other than to use the second bathroom, but we could tell it would be an ideal space to host a group of people or family with children. Due to the time of year, we didn’t go out on the deck or down to the water, but in nicer weather both would have only added to the relaxing setting. As a bonus, for those with children who may be interested, we noticed a little playground just around the corner from the house. Last but not least, Andrew was an excellent communicator throughout the process. I would happily stay at this property again!"

"This was such a cozy and fun space for a weekend getaway. It was nice because different people could have their own space in their own rooms, but there was a nice communal area with plenty of space for board games and a puzzle to be happening all at once, along with ping pong/pool and darts. The kitchen was well equipped for making meals, but it is right downtown so it was fun to also walk to local shops and restaurants. The owners were so kind and responsive and I loved all of the little details they put into decorating the space. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a great getaway in Fort Scott. "

"While we could say the home was clean, the hosts wonderful, and the home was comforable and well taken care of, what stuck out the most was the history of this home. The host took the time in a book to tell us the history of this farm home and the people who lovingly called this their home. That was special to this home. Looking around it was easy to see what this home meant to the family. And to share that home and its memories with the strangers who pass through to stay. That was something unique and special. I encourage anyone who comes to the area to stay. You’ll love that it’s clean, cozy, well kept and comfortable. But you’ll also get a glimpse and a special piece of someone’s history at the farm. And that is probably the most special piece. "

"Everyone had a great time. House is so cute. Wish the roads weren't so rough. Lots of water toys. I want to buy one of the large rafts. Much nicer and more sturdy than my lillypad. Thank you for a grest experience."
