Nice stay on the river
My family loves this place! We stayed in the smaller house next door 3 years ago and came back because it is so peaceful. We live just an hour away so this is a perfect escape for a few days of "spring break". It is great just sitting in the hot tub and watching the birds on the river. We will hopefully come back!

Birders Paradise
I booked Island View Hideaway for our statecation because my husband is a birder and it did not disappoint. It is also perfectly situated for visiting Cave of the mounds, House on the Rock and Devils Lake without the crowds of the dells.

Great Place!
We had a phenomenal time! So close to cascade for skiing. The biggest bonus is that our family dog could come with, and that was huge for us. Hot tub was amazing! Kids had their own spot, and lots of entertaining games and movies! Want to come back in the summer!

Very relaxing place on the river
Island View Hideaway is a cozy relaxing place. Lots of places to walk our dog, even with it being rainy!! It was just what we were looking for!! So much to watch right outside the back patio doors. The only suggestion would be to have a grab bar attached to the shower or side wall of the toilet for folks who have trouble getting up from the low toilet.

Lovely cottage right on the lake. Kitchen well stocked. Staircase for upstairs is a little tricky, definitely not for elderly people. Property and cottage nicely kept. We would come back

Wisconsin Dream Vaca....
Very nice cabin/house on the backwaters of the Wisconsin River. Mostly kayaks and canoes passing by. Great area to just float and enjoy scenery. The property with a nice sand bar in front makes for a peaceful setting. The furniture and amenities within the home are in very good condition with name brand appliances. Everything worked and was easy to get into vacation mode. Thank goodness for the Wifi, cell single can be spotty. The property manager stopped by and was quick to fix/adjust/ and offer help. He really went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. We really liked the property and plan to be back next summer.

Very relaxing
This place is very clean and relaxing. The veiw of the river is beautiful and there are multiple species of birds every morning just hanging around the bird feeder. You can even go outside and sit down with a cup of coffee and the birds will still come. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet also. If you need to unwind from day to day stuff this is the place to go.

Cozy and Comfy
Loved this cottage. Right on the river with a hot tub to boot. Very relaxed experience. Exactly what we needed. Would definitely recommend for small groups. Theas spiral staircase to get to the 2nd bedroom is a little challenging. That was not a problem for our group, but could be a problem for anyone with any kind of physical limitations. Thank you for an excellent stay. We will be back.

Weekend Away
Our son had an event in Portage, and we decided to make a weekend of it. Weather was dreary, but we enjoyed our stay with the family and the dogs! Nice view of the water. Great location. Cozy with the fireplace.

Property was as described, hot tub was awesome. My dogs had a great time, nice to be able to have them with us on vacation. Would definitely rebook in the fall or spring the weather wasn't our friend. A little further away from parks etc. than expected, great time for all.

Very charming cute house. They had music playing and nice bottle of wine for us when we got there. We loved the hot tub. It was cold going out there and back in but it was still nice touch. Restaurants around there where ok.

Not fancy but ok
We had a hard time getting the canoe in and out of the water because the water was so low. The place was clean enough but there were spider webs and dust in different places. The shower is too small. We liked the hot tub a lot. Hard for adults to get up to and down from the loft (spiral staircases), but our kids really liked it.

Nice property for small children
We had a good time at the cabin. It was clean and exciting when we first walked in. Music from the 80’s & 90’s was playing and the curtains were open so we could see the River straight away. It was serene and a great break from the everyday hustle and bustle. The kids loved the water and so did our two dogs. The water was clean and shallow and is perfect for beginners. We had an amazing time.

Honeymoon ~ short and sweet
The property was exactly as described! We had everything we needed and a beautiful view to enjoy. The upstairs bathtub was a plus. We didn’t end up using the outdoor hot tub, but it sure looked inviting. It takes about 10 minutes or more to get to any shopping, etc, so just plan for that. We would stay here again! Maybe for our 1st wedding anniversary?! 🥰

Has everything you would need. A home away from home.
We all had such a wonderful time, enjoying the indoors as much as the outdoors. Perfect place for both! From the whirpool and grill to the fireplace, games, movies and soaking tub. The view of the river and sounds of the birds are downright magical. We will be back!

This house so so cozy and clean. We felt at home the minute we walked through the door. We arrived Christmas Day to find a Christmas tree up and other decorations. Would be a nice place to stay during the summer.

Perfect getaway!
We are a group of 4 high school friends who discovered this property when we were looking for someplace to have a weekend getaway to celebrate turning 40. We enjoyed it so much we decided to make it an annual trip, and have just finished our 9th visit! This cottage is absolutely adorable, feels very homey and comfortable, and the perfect size for 4 people. Dave is very easy to work with and has been responsive to any requests. We will definitely be back next year to celebrate 50 (!!!)

Property is just as described, very cute and comfortable, with a lovely view of the water. Although the water was a bit lower than normal, we still enjoyed the canoe and kayak, and hanging out on the deck. Property manager is very helpful and friendly.

Relaxing Getaway!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Island View Cottage! The cottage was very clean, roomy, and bright! We loved bird watching, hearing the cranes, stargazing from the hot tub and kayaking on Lake Wisconsin. We were welcomed with a note, bottle of wine and music playing! Very nice touches! The cottage was comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed! We are looking forward to a return trip!

Wonderful vacation spot!
Our family spent two weeks at this home and enjoyed every minute. The house is in a great location and we spent pretty much every day on the river floating, boating, fishing and just playing in the sand. The property is clean, bright and inviting. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! When we arrived, we were greeted by music playing on the stereo, and the beautiful view of the lake out the back patio doors. The neighborhood was so peaceful, and we felt right at home immediately. Would definitely recommend!
