Beth's Place II - On The River - Hot Tub & New Pickleball Court! You'll love it!

Beth's Place II is a new, beautifully furnished apartment that was built in March 2020. It is located above our garage and offers complete privacy. The apartment has one bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed, a living room with a twin-size sleeper sofa, and a full-size Murphy bed that can be pulled down as needed. The well-equipped kitchen features a full-size stove, a dining area, and everything you need to prepare a meal. There is also a lovely full bathroom with a washer and dryer, towels, washcloths, and basic toiletries.

The apartment has a private entrance with 14 steps leading up to the front door and has ample parking spaces.

Guests can relax and unwind in their private outdoor space, complete with a hot tub and stunning river views. The outdoor area also features chairs, a fire pit, a grill, and beautiful lights at night.

Our property itself is also quite lovely, and guests are welcome to use our brand-new pickleball court installed in September 2023, and the putting green in the front yard. The Raquette River, which flows right behind our house, is also available for our guests. The trail leading down to the river has handrails to make it easier to navigate, and we also provide kayaks and a fire pit down by the river for our guests.

Our stretch of the Raquette River flows all the way to downtown Potsdam, making it an excellent opportunity to kayak there and explore the town. Please note that kayaking is only available from May to November. We cover the putting green once it starts to snow.

Great place. There was a lot of added touches that were included like fire wood, bathrobes and flip flops for the hot tub. Beth goes above and beyond compare to other places we stayed at.

Perfect Getaway!

Everything was perfect about our stay - hosts, location, amenities, etc. Beautiful spot along the river. Woke up to views of the water every morning. Highly recommend - and we will definitely stay here again.

Perfect Retreat

Beautiful Apt w/ a View

Perfect place to stay, close to Clarkson, updated, roomy for 3, very clean and easy to book and check in. Wish we found this place earlier than now to book as our son just graduated from Clarkson. Who knows we maybe be back for an alumni lax game and we will surely book again.

Great place to stay in Potsdam

This is our second time staying for Clarkson parents weekend. Very convenient and we loved the hot tub and fire pit. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful!

Very clean and homey! We stayed in Beth’s place 2, it was perfect on the side of the house and we had privacy with great views on the river. They offered different activities we really enjoyed coffee in the igloo and the location is close to town. It was a fantastic littleWinter get away! Will stay here again,The place was perfect!

An absolute gem

My son and I stayed at Beth’s Place II with my 84 year old father. This beautifully designed apartment with attention to every detail (from bedding, towels and robes to kitchen supplies and lighting) was a perfect place to stay. All of the beds were comfortable, and the view of the river breath taking. We did not get a chance to use all of the fun things (hot tub, pickleball court, swimming in the river) but look forward to going back when we have more time.

Peaceful!

This was perfect for a long weekend after we dropped off our son at college. It was very comfortable and clean. We even walked down to the river and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Beth offered just the right amount of communication and is very helpful! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Perfect get away

Beth's place is exactly what is advertised. A great modern, clean home with all the amenities. Because of the rain we weren't able to get out on the water because of flooding, but having the firepit, igloo and hot tub we didn't even miss it. We will definitely be back again!

Phenomenal stay

Can’t brag enough about this amazing property! Clean, homey, very well managed and very thoughtful in all details! We did not take advantage of pickleball or kayaking but did putt on green and prepped a fire but rain hindered that. Extremely well stocked and 4 nights didn’t seem long enough. Great to have space for our student to visit and to prep food,as local eateries can close early. Will definitely stay again or visit another “Beth’s” property in town!

They do it well

My wife and I had a very nice stay there in Potsdam. Didnt move my car once, biked and kayaked everywhere we went.The property is so well kept and provides all you need in fun, a selection of boats and kayaks and the hot tub and firepit area very private. The rental is so well equipped and clean. You get your moneys worth here at Beths place 2.

Very nice place - would stay again

The place was very clean. Seems to have been done or remodelled recently, as everything seems new. Quiet place, stayed for a week. Well equipped kitchen with some spices and cooking supplies. Very close to Clarkson. Price Chopper or Walmart/Aldi are close.

Wish I would have found this sooner

This place is absolutely perfect for any visit to Clarkson! So clean and comfortable and only four minutes away from campus. Wish I would have found this on our first visit. It is close, yet so relaxing by the river with so many things to do to relax. Beth, the host, is very kind and helpful for absolutely anything you may need. Definitely recommend to any first year parents for a perfect place to stay throughout your childs college events throughout the years!

Incredible property with so much to offer

​This property looks exactly as stated in the descriptions, as well as in the photos. The space is well thought out and amazing. We came in to visit our son who goes to SUNY Potsdam. We had a relaxing time and enjoyed many of the outdoor amenities. We invited his friends over to enjoy a home-cooked meal, to play some pickleball, and to make smores! Beautiful home away from home

We came up to Potsdam to visit our daughter who is a college student and this home made our whole trip so special! Beth’s place was spotless and everything in this home was so well appointed. The space had everything we needed and more! The mattress was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for meal prep. The jacuzzi was a great extra feature and Beth provided robes, towels and flip flops which made going outside in the cold winter weather actually enjoyable. The property was beautiful and serene surrounded by nature. The rental had a lot of privacy and I would recommend this location wholeheartedly. We will definitely come back! Perfect Location with Great Accommodations

Our stay at this VRBO property was fantastic! The location couldn't have been better – it provided easy access to both the stunning Thousand Islands and the breathtaking Adirondacks. Whether we wanted to explore scenic trails, enjoy water activities, or simply relax, everything was conveniently close. The accommodations were superb, offering all the comforts of home. The property was clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was fully equipped, making meal preparation a breeze. The living spaces were cozy and inviting. If we didn't want to go far, the outside area and river were perfect for a day of fun. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive, making our stay even more enjoyable. Absolutely amazing! Our favorite place to stay!

We flew in two years ago for our niece’s wedding and stayed at Beth’s Place. We absolutely loved the property and it looks exactly like the pictures. As soon as we started planning another trip for our nephew’s graduation we didn’t even bother looking anywhere else and rebooked. It was another 10 out of 10 experience. The apartment was spotless and it is the perfect size. They have so many nice touches like terry cloth robes, beach towels, shampoo & conditioner, Tide pens, the list goes on. Even toothpaste and floss picks! The Murphy bed is perfect for our daughter and very easy to pull down. The price is more than reasonable and well worth it. The owners are so friendly and respond to messages very quickly. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay in town longer to enjoy all the lovely amenities (hot tub, etc.)! We will absolutely rebook with them the next time we fly home for a visit.
