This is a modern, bright, and airy garden-level unit with a large, open living, dining, and kitchen area and all the amenities you need (from WiFi to coffee grinder) to live, work, entertain, and explore Portland.

When you arrive, a large patio with built-in benches, a table, and comfortable lounge chairs greets you. Inside, an open living room, dining room, and kitchen make a perfect place to hang out with family and friends. Three bedrooms allow for sleeping for 6 people; the couch in the living room or floor futon mattress can be used for extra sleeping space. Sleep great on our all-new Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses, featuring Serta's latest pressure relief technology and HeiQ V-Block technology for a cleaner sleep surface.

The location:
This inner Northeast Portland neighborhood is one of the coolest parts of the city. Alberta Street itself is lined with galleries, boutiques, several of Portland’s top restaurants, as well as dozens of casual cafés and nightspots. Eat and drink your way down the street from Indian to Italian to Southern, slurping locally crafted coffee, beer, and ice cream. Walking distance to several live music venues, a farmer’s market (summer), an organic food co-op, and top-notch restaurants. Minutes from the airport and minutes to downtown make it the perfect home base for an amazing stay in Portland.

Great place!

We enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable in the space. The beds are very comfy and the place is clean and well equipped. The neighborhood is fun and quirky, Portland at its best. Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing Location and Rental Property

Beautiful rental!!! The location was amazing, great food and coffee was all in walking distance. The rental was clean, well stocked and the owners were great at recommending food, coffee, shopping and activities. My family enjoyed their time in Portland and we would definately stay here again.

We were greeted upon arrival by the hosts and felt immediately welcomed to our lower level apartment. The location could not be beat. We loved eating and shopping in the friendly neighborhood. Highly recommend this place to stay. We will be back!

Great property in a great neighborhood

We had a great experience staying here. The house was clean and welcoming. There were charming touches that made the house unique. It was extremely easy to check in and out. On-site parking would have been the only improvement but we were always able to find a spot within a block or two.

Inspiring Stay

We loved everything about this place! The location is perfect for exploring the Alberta district on foot with loads of good restaurants and shops nearby. The rental itself was perfect for our plans, with an accommodating common area, comfortable beds, and cool aesthetics. Seriously, we took so many pictures to inspire projects for our respective homes. Our only regret was that we didn't utilize the outside area to its fullest. The hosts are kind and helpful, communicating with us promptly, and include discounts at local shops and eateries.

Cozy and convenient!

Really well equipped house with all the amenities. There were umbrellas, plenty of towels and it was super clean. Wonderful location. When I had a question it was answered immediately. We will recommend this rental without a doubt. We will be back.

Home away from home

We told our wonderful host, Michelle, that we would be happy to live in Low Gear on a permanent basis, and we meant it! This is a beautifully designed and appointed apartment - an elegant sanctuary in the heart of a thriving neighbourhood. Everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and fun was on hand in the suite or steps away on Alberta. We plan to make this our home away from home every time we visit Portland.

This house is sooooo clean. And perfectly located.

Great place to stay in Portland. We loved this house. Managed by professionals. Would definitely recommend it. In fact, if we're in Portland again, we will rent this unit, or the one above. (it's a 2-story house). Is located in the heart of the Alberta Arts District, with several parks within walking distance. Restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries and a famous ice-cream parlor, all within walking distance as well. Great place to vacation!!!!

Everything was clean. There were locally made snacks and a sweet note waiting for us. Whitney responded quickly when I texted her. The book with details and discounts was extremely helpful. We really enjoyed the photo book describing the property. We were close to everything we needed, including the bus stop. Great walking neighborhood. I loved Portland and this house was more than I expected. Thank you!

Graduation weekend with family

We had a great experience from check-in until the time we left. The place is nicely appointed and has a Portland artsy feel. We were able to have family together to celebrate my son’s college graduation in a comfortable space. The only thing that was a challenge is finding street parking in the busy neighborhood. My mother-in-law uses a cane and can’t always walk long distances so it took some persistence to find a good spot. But the area is fun and safe.

Lovely stay!

A delightful house in a wonderful neighborhood! Walking distance to delicious restaurants and food trucks, a darling children’s bookstore and a coop grocery! Cute house and perfect for cooking and hanging out with both our college kids, elderly parents and dog! Enjoyed bbq on the terrace and people watching while drinking wine from a wonderful day trip to the Willamette Valley! Hope to return!

Eclectic neighborhood, small businesses galore

The property is clean, tidy, and provides the features listed. The open kitchen/dining/living room design allows for space for families to pursue multiple activities while spending time together. Linking to Netflix on the TV and accessing the Internet were easy and quick. The reason to rent here is to enjoy the food and shopping venues within walking distance nearby. We enjoyed the food co-op nearly across the street and were thrilled to discover Chilango a short walk away--such amazing Mexican food and welcoming service! Also close by was Roseline Coffee, where the baristas were friendly and the beverages tasty. The novelty gift shop, Frock Boutique, was worth the stop for gifts for friends and family...and it's right next door.If you're looking for a weekend getaway where you can relax, enjoy tasty foods and an eclectic neighborhood full of local small businesses, this is a good choice.

Great stay on Alberta

This property was great for us over the Thanksgiving holiday. A short walk to super coffee and food and ice cream (Salt and Straw) and the Alberta Co-op for last minute grocery shopping. Parking was easy on Alberta or one of the side streets. The house was cozy with heated floors and a split in the main area. And I appreciated Michelle's responsiveness to any questions. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Already missing the PDX!

Great overnight stay for us and friends

We had a great time in the home. This is the second time we have stayed in one of the host’s properties. Great location with great nearby restaurants and things to do in the Alberta arts district. The only complaint I have is that the coffee maker had old, moldy coffee in it which was a bit off-putting in the morning when making our coffee. The home was otherwise very clean and a great place to spend time for the night. We also enjoyed the free popcorn provided :)
