Bear Lodge is a beautiful little cabin with its own private patio. We have built this beautiful BnB with love & creativity & we are eager to share with our guests! We built it in 2019 and it is totally self-contained. This place is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. NOTE: This SPACE is shared with owners on property. NO Pets Allowed.

  • The California Condor was a common sight along the Columbia River in Lewis and Clark's day. By the early 1980's, there were only twenty-two left on the face of the planet, all in California. Today, thanks to a massive effort to re-populate the species via in-captivity pairing, there are some two-hundred members. But their recovery is far from assured. The Oregon Zoo has undertaken its own recovery effort whose ultimate goal is the re-introduction of the species into the protected wilderness area around the Columbia River Gorge. If that doesn't suit your fancy, I will tell you that, as with all big birds, if you wait around long enough, they will do something so awe-inspiring that it will take your breath away, and something so goofy that you will laugh out loud. Bear Lodge is very comfortable and felt like home. The back patio is relaxing and the backyard is peaceful and quiet. The inside is decorated nicely and all the furniture (couch, bed, etc) are really comfortable. Keith and Susan are great hosts and have included just about everything a person needs. Definitely enjoyed my stay at Bear Lodge!
