"The old worn mattress need be replaced. Sofa and armchair were in need of steam cleaning due to stains. Bed cover was dirty and it appeared that same cover was used by prior guests . Bed pillows needed replacing as they were flat and stained. Upon being in unit for less than 24 hours, I developed a severe asthma attack and had to leave. I informed owner and his response was to treat us to a meal at a local eatery. I am being treated for asthma currently. The soft furnishings are infested with dust mites which triggered my asthma. I had to seek urgent care services and unable to get out on mountain during my trip to ME. Checked into Jordan Hotel after leaving Sugarloaf area where I spent three days recuperating from sudden asthmatic episode. This is a cautionary tale for me especially when booking lodging even when reviews are favorable. This unit would be good for two healthy young people who have no issues about the cleanliness of very old furnishings or the stench build-up in this substandard unit. It was abundantly clear that my Asthma was triggered by an infestation of dust mites from an old mattress that needed to be replaced, old flat pillows without any casing and dirty sofa and armchair. There were no sheets to put over sofa or armchair and there was a thin folded blanket I had to use to stay warm. I, on the other hand never saw this asthma attack coming. Within a few hours after being in this old unit my symptoms developed and I am still recovering "
"Our stay at the Legacy was exactly what I imagine when I think of the perfect ski-in, ski-out experience. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. Being able to park right outside the door made unloading and settling in incredibly easy.
The condo itself has a cozy, home-away-from-home feel. It was spotless and beautifully maintained, with new appliances and very comfortable furniture. The heated floors were an amazing bonus—especially after a long day on the slopes. Every part of the condo, from the kitchen to the bedrooms and bathrooms, felt high quality and thoughtfully put together.
The location couldn’t be better. The ski lift is just a few steps away, and the Sugarloaf village is right there as well. We never had to drive anywhere during our stay. One of the best parts was being able to ski right up to the door, come inside for lunch or coffee, and head back out again.
I also loved relaxing in the evening and watching the groomers working on the mountain at night—it really added to the whole ski resort experience.
The host thought of everything. Free snacks were a great touch, and the large boot dryer was an epic addition that made mornings much easier. Communication was excellent throughout the stay. Jessica was wonderful to deal with and responded to my questions very quickly.
Overall, the condo and host delivered a truly detailed and high-quality experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect Sugarloaf ski getaway."
