I liked the fact that this is a fully renovated 1950's hotel in the heart of Portales, NM. It was very quiet due to the old style construction. It was very clean and everything worked as expected. My only negative points were that I had a hard time regulating the shower temperature due to an unusual fixture and on the last day a very large group completely overwhelmed the breakfast area to the point there was nowhere to sit or even any coffee left. McDonalds is close by.

The hotel was great. Our room was large which was great for a person with a wheelchair. The AC kept us cool. Easy access to the local area. Plenty of parking. The breakfast area was very nice. Not over the top, but it have several protein choices. I would stay there again. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that the breakfast was not always well looked after. There were two different times on two different days that things ran out and guests had to go tell the front desk.
