The beauty of the setting of this home is unmatchable. From the large open porch, view pristine white sandy beaches of Indian Pass with multiple species of sea birds, enjoy watching dolphins in the Gulf, and experience stars at night like you've never seen them. Even night owls will want to awaken for the spectacular sunrises peeking above the Western tip of beautiful St. Vincent's Island, a National Wildlife Refuge just a short kayak trip away. Once you've stayed at 'Starlight by the Sea' you'll never want to leave--it happens to everyone.

This home was designed by the owners for fun for the entire family, all ages and including the 4-legged members as well. Indian Pass is the dog friendliest beach you'll ever find. Like horses? We're horse friendly, too. Ride the 5000 acre Buffer Preserve or the 8000 acre Box R Ranch, or with permits and tail bags, ride the lovely beaches of Cape San Blas. There's also great fishing, boating, and golfing. After all this activity, relax swinging in the hammock, sunning on the open deck, or reading a good book in the shade of the veranda. Then stroll the beach for a magnificent sunset. It truly is magical.

WHAT'S NEW: We now have 2 ocean kayaks for our guests to use at no extra cost. We do not provide lifejackets so you will need to bring your own or rent them locally.

I haven't been to this part of Florida in 9 years and it didn't disappoint! The home was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Very large porch that we enjoyed, dogs loved the porch too. The views of the sunrise from the porch were stunning. Joy was very quick to respond to any questions and even had a little welcome gift for us! I hope to come back soon. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing beach trip.

This property is in a great location at the mouth of Indian Pass. Shelling, fishing, and a boat ramp right at your feet! Great house for just relaxing! Safe porch gates for your pets! We loved every minute of the stay! And Scalloping was great this year, too! We shall return!!!!!!!

We really enjoyed our time at Starlight by the Sea. This was our first time at Indian Pass and fell in love. We especially loved the location of this house. The hosts were incredibly nice and very helpful. Hoping to be back soon.

We loved the area! Practically had the beach to ourselves! Favorite thing about the property was the deck overlooking the ocean. Also, the area being dog friendly was a special treat for our pups. Will be going back!

So accommodating!

It’s difficult to find a place to stay that houses both family and pups while trusting it is well-maintained, but this house exceeded expectations. The porch has the best view, and dinners beside the gulf made the best memories! Definitely would love to come back.

Perfect location! Fishing was good right in front of this home. House was very clean when we arrived. Joy the property owner made sure if we needed anything we could call or text her. We will book again at her wonderful beach home.

Great place!

Homey place with a lot of positives. Super large back deck. A good grill. Clean aside from some wear likely from dogs but minor. Would totally recommend especially with pets and would go back. Finally great host.

Peace begins with a stay at Starlight by the Sea 💜

Starlight by the Sea has been a part of my Spring renewal for over 10 years. Each morning starts sipping coffee with my pup Seva on my lap as we watch the rim of the sun touch the horizon creating a masterpiece of red, orange and yellow colors reflecting on the water…later slow walks on the beach, kayaking to the island or giggling on the deck with friends cultivate a deep inner peace 💜

Paradise!!

Family Celebration

This was a perfect house for our family’s celebration- 30 year old and 60 year old birthdays and our 6 mont old grandson’s first trip to a beach. The house was perfect for 6 adults, an infant and 3 dogs. Fun was had by all! We cooked in most nights, used the kayaks to head to the Sanctuary that is close by and spent a lot of time on the deck! Joy answered my questions in a timely manner and was very easy to work with! We will be back next year!

Beautiful and Wonderful Home

We have stayed with Joy for two years now and will not consider staying anywhere else. Joy is a very attentive and gracious host and is always accessible. The house is sitting on such a beautiful location and and the view from the huge deck is nothing short of stunningly spectacular. We will absolutely be back, hopefully sooner than later as we always do.

We love Starlight!

Every year we look forward to coming down to Starlight for our beach vacation, and we are never disappointed. Our 15-year-old dog loves coming here, and even though it's harder for her to get down to the beach, she makes sure her toes are in the sand as much as possible! Port St Joe is getting more options for restaurants-all were very good- so we did eat out more often this trip, but for meals in we had everything we needed. My favorite spot is either sitting on the chaise or lounging in the hammock-there's no way to choose just one! Joy, thank you again for sharing your home! Can't wait to get back again!!
