Outstanding views.
We are repeat renters and just love the place. Very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The sunsets and proximity to the beach are hard to beat.

Blessed week
The condo was amazing very clean and well stocked. Views from the deck were out of this world beautiful. Love everything about the location and the condo except… too many stairs for older folks like us with Arthur Ritis following us around. The master on the main level would’ve made it perfect. But overall I highly recommend to anyone with strong legs.

Condo on the beach
Overall it was a good visit. The drawback was neighbors on one side that smoked on their balcony and neighbors on the other side had three dogs that barked. The balconies are not designed with privacy in mind. The view was good

Our family really enjoyed this getaway. Great location right on the beach! One thing to know is the stairs are open slotted so for smaller children that may be a factor. Great property though!

PERFECT SPOT ON THE GULF
We really enjoyed our stay this past week. The unit was just perfect. Furnishings and beds were very comfortable and the unit was spotless upon our arrival. The kitchen was well stocked with more than we needed. I think the balconies and beautiful view of the beach was our favorite spot. Didn't even have to leave the deck to see the sunsets. Our host, Ashley, was very helpful with check in and was very responsive to any of the questions we had after check in. We look forward to returning again in the same spot.

Great Rental
Perfect location. Beachside with all the amenities. If you’re looking for a good place to walk around away from the beach go to Appalachicola lots of neat shops. Then eat lunch at the Grill. The shrimp poboys are wonderful.

A little piece of paradise
We had a lovely stay at this property. The kitchen was well stocked and it was convenient to the pools. This was one of our best stays at The Dunes and we want to stay here when we return.

A nice place with an amazing view!
We spent a week here and overall it was great. I can't imagine a better location inside the community with easier access to the beach than this unit. The stairs off the living room deck meet the stone walkway that goes behind the units to the boardwalk (several steps up to the walkway, a very very short distance, then several steps down to the sand) so getting to the beach and back was quick and easy. The condo itself was roomy and comfortable but one thing I never noticed in the pictures or read in the property description is that the stairs leading to the bedrooms on the third and fourth floors are open--there are no backs on each of the stairs. Thankfully there was a baby gate in one of the closets that we were able to use to block our little dog from accessing the stairs. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses, etc. but the condition of the cooking utensils and pots and pans was disappointing. We aren't picky about cookware by any means but when bacon sticks to the nonstick pan it's pretty bad. If you plan to cook most of your own meals during your stay like we did, I'd suggest bringing your own cookware. Also, if you plan to grill, check out the grill ahead of time so that your menu/meal time isn't thwarted as ours was. We found the grill in really rough shape. It obviously hadn't been cleaned in quite some time and the rust build up around the eyes prevented the gas from getting through. The grill brush was melted and wasn't able to be used to clean the grates. We used aluminum foil to remove as much rust as possible and instead of placing food directly on to the grill we used a flat pan to sear meat on. If you plan to use the Brita pitcher for water, bring a filter. The one in the pitcher says it's new but it definitely isn't as water pours right through. We enjoyed ourselves despite the few issues we encountered and feel better prepared for future family trips. This was our first family vacation and hope to return to beautiful Cape San Blas soon.

Great location for a relaxing beach vacation.
This rental has ample space and is located in a perfect part of Cape San Blas. There are enough people nearby for interaction (and people watching) if you want, but it feels very private. The sunsets are directly outside your windows and you can watch from the beach or from your deck. We keep our dinners very simple--its vacation!--and the kitchen has everything we need. It feels very clean and the linens are nice.

We stayed at Barrier Dunes directly on the beach and it was AMAZING! House was fully stocked!! Only thing we could think of that it needed was an ice cream scoop/spade! We like to buy ice cream from the Pig and take it home to enjoy!! Ashley was amazing with her communication! It was one of the most relaxing weeks we’ve had and we’ve been coming to the Cape for many, many years! Well done! Now, back to reality!

Wonderful stay on the beach
This property was clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed for a beach trip. When the listing says "on the beach," it means literally on the beach--you walk downstairs and you're there. The balconies are great for morning coffee and evening wine, and the sunsets are works of art. We had the best time and can't wait to come back.

Great Vacation
By far, out of the 9 years we’ve been to Barrier Dunes this was the best property we’ve vacationed in! The view from all balconies was fantastic. Access to the beach was easy. The decor was great and well arranged so the great room wasn’t crowded. If you’re looking for a beach front place to stay you won’t find a better place! We plan to go back next year.

Perfect location!
This was our first trip to Cape San Blas and it did not disappoint! We had 3 kids, 4 adults, 1 dog and we all slept comfortably. The location was perfect for us! Just steps away from the beach, which with a 1 yr old child - is a major bonus! The Gulf view is gorgeous. We enjoyed every sunset from the patio or beach! We really appreciated that this property and the beach were both dog friendly. We love including our dog whenever we can. The community pool was very nice and a convenient walk from the property. We would love to go back again!

Spring Break 2022
The condo is clean and in a great location. Ashley was very helpful and attentive to a small issue with a smoke detector alarm going off during the night. She had someone out that evening to check it and change the batteries. The beach closet has 4 beach chairs and a ton of beach toys for the kids. Helpful Hint: To adjust the AC "Tap on the SIDE of the thermostat" :)

Quiet and right on the beach
We were very happy to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary at this wonderful property. It was peaceful to be right next to the ocean and the views were very good from this unit. A short pleasant drive to Apalachicola and Port Saint Joe. Provisions and the The Station were our favorite Restaurants. The property manager Ashley was helpful and responsive. She helped make our stay fantastic. We hope to have the chance to come back in the future with our family.

Fabulous Thanksgiving and Birthday week!
What a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday with family and Thanksgiving alone with my husband. This is a very special beach home because there is plenty of room and warm and cozy, too. Loved having our dogs to celebrate with us. The kitchen was perfectly stocked to cook our thanksgiving dinner. The location was convenient to eating establishments with very good food. The view of the beach and ocean on each floor was a real treat! Ashley, the host, was awesome and perfectly accommodating for all of our needs. We spent a week here with our two children. The location was amazing. Watching the sunset and having the beach right outside the back porch was amazing. The condo was overall very clean and tidy. There are some areas that need a little love, but it seems it’s just the age of the property itself. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to plan another trip! The hospitality was wonderful and we could tell they really wanted us to enjoy our time.

Beautiful location, pristine beaches, right on the dunes, 2 minutes max to the water!
Ashley (manages the property) and her parents who own the property were available 24/7. Internet and cable were an issue the entire week. If you need a computer for light work or touching base with folks, it’s a problem with that carrier. The internet firm Consolidated Communications actually takes bribes (yes, money to fix your problem quicker) and should be reported. We heard this from many trusted sources in town.

Quiet and Peaceful
The property was clean and a great location. It does, however, need some maintenance. We would like to have left the door open onto the balcony on the main floor, but because of a large hole in the screen we chose not to. Didn't want bugs or frogs in the house with us. Never used the upper balconies because the very flimsy plastic chairs were so dirty. Sliding door on the main floor needs some attention as it is extremely difficult to open. Also thread bare towels. If you want to use the outdoor grill, you must go to the storage area and get the propane tank and hook it up. (we did not). A couple of the balusters on the balcony were loose. BUT, the location is excellent for enjoying the view of the gulf. We saw several dolphins everyday! The kitchen was well supplied. The condo was very clean. We fell in love with the area. Just a bit more attention/maintenance and it would be perfect.

Fabulous first visit to CSB
We’re now spoiled from ever not staying beachfront again. Three deck/balconies directly facing the gulf made morning mimosas, sunset happy hour and late night stargazing the best we’ve ever experienced. The kitchen had everything we needed and way more than we’d have expected. Ashley was incredibly responsive to the few minor issue we had (all a result of the floors having just been redone). And best of all, we were just steps away from the sand. We would without question book this property again.

Perfect week at the Cape!!!
Our family had one of the most memorable vacations during our stay at Sunset Shore!! The townhome was impeccably clean, the most incredible sunsets from the deck and on the beach, and well appointed furnishings gave us all the comforts of home!! Extra touches throughout the townhome were greatly appreciated. Ashley was so thoughtful and responsive each time we had a question about our reservation. Once we checked in, Ashley gave us great dining and shopping suggestions! She is an amazing host! We had a great time at the beach and were able to unplug and relax each day!!
