Tried to contact property manager through text and E-mail. Never got a response. That was upsetting because I couldn't use the wifi. Brought my own bedding. The mattress was so disgusting I slept on the couch.

Perfect for our family.
This is an older house, but fit our needs perfectly. The grill is more like a smoker, so be prepared for that. The house is a few blocks from the beach. We rented a golf cart (Crystal Beach Golf Carts...highly recommend!!!) And it worked out perfect. Scott was able to allow us to check in a bit early. We had a great time. We love Crystal Beach and will return!

Location was great!
If you are looking for a no frills stay, located within walking distance of the beach, this is it. While the property can use some upgrades, the location of this property was perfect for us. 4 adult and 2 children had plenty of room. We were only in the house in the evenings and for meal times since we spent time fishing and swimming at the beach. Bring everything you would need for a stay and you should be fine. Listed 2 bathrooms, but only one was functioning since the downstairs will undergo remodeling.

Well stocked kitchen and basic accommodations
Just what we were looking for, basic beach accommodations with a well stocked kitchen. This beach is a 1/4 mile walk or short drive. We rented a golf cart so it wasn't an inconvenience. If you looking for a fancy place this is not it, but it's clean and had everything we needed to cook with. Window ac units are loud so if this is something that bugs you then look elsewhere, they cooled the house down well. Overall for the price the family had a great time and we have no complaints. Bring your own sheets, pillows and blankets.

Place was as described. The beach house was just what we needed for a family reunion beach trip. It was stocked with the necessities. We brought a golf cart to go from house to beach as it is a little far lugging all the beach items with toddlers in tow. The owner was quick to respond with questions we had.

Perfect Get Away
We absolutely loved our stay! The homeowners were very helpful in check-in and check-out. They were very kind and I could tell they wanted us to have a good time. The place was clean. The new floors were gorgeous and were carried throughout the home. Sectional couch was perfect for napping after being at the beach all morning. Beds comfy. AC worked great in every room. Kitchen was functional. You can walk to the beach from the home but it is a little far. I would highly recommend renting a golf cart to cary things to and from the beach and to ride up and down the beach. (We were happy we rented one.) Outdoor porch was great, especially for star gazing at night. Large TV in living room was perfect for watching movies after the sun went down. We were able to stay socially distant from other people at the home and the beach. Perfect COVID -19 get away. Our dogs loved it as well. We would go again. The home could use some cosmetic updates but none of this bothered us too much. Washer/dryer area needed cleaning. I would recommend packing everything and not planning on washing clothes. This is difficult when you have to bring your own towels and linens. We were too afraid to go into the bathroom downstairs. It was in the same shape as the laundry room.

Great value, great stay
Booked this house pretty last minute. Turned out to be amazing. House was well appointed. Bringing our own linens and towels was new, but not an issue. Thought about renting a golf cart, but didn’t need to. We bought the 10 dollar beach permit and drove right onto the beach each day. Husband used the grill almost every night and it worked well. The bathroom downstairs we didn’t use at all (it’s a little creepy). TVs in each room worked great, so did the air conditioners. My family and I had a great trip and this house was one of the best we’ve been to. Owner was very friendly and responsive. Overall, great experience.

I text the owner on my way & he responded immediately with the code for the front door. When we got to the property, the first thing I did was go up to get the AC going. The floor is soft and sags in front of the upstairs restroom. The floors had a lot of sand on it and the sofa was covered in dog hair. When I sat on it, it was also sandy. We had to keep a blanket on it. The downstairs shower looked like it had sand in it. I cleaned it, but Friday morning it had sand in it again. This turned out to be sewer backing up in the shower. The toilet downstairs would not flush. The owner did say a plumber was called, but couldn’t be there until 4:00 on the day we were leaving. I have 2 disabled vets in my immediate family, 1 is confined to a wheelchair. They both could not stay because we couldn’t get them upstairs. This property was rented by another family member 2 years ago and the upstairs floor was sagging at that time too. A lot of maintenance is needed.

Sorry your experience was sub standard. The floors will be fixed this off season. You did check in early before our cleaning lady was able to turn it around for you. I thought you said you’d be ok with that. That’s unfortunate that you’d put that on our review. We always strive to have a very clean cabin

Rented this for family but they cancelled 48 hrs ahead. We were staying elsewhere. Contact owner but (understandably) he could not refund any of our money. I went in the house to at least check it out so maybe we would rent it later, took photos as well. Mop & bucket full of dirty water on porch. Musty smell in house. Closet folding door (in guest bedroom?) laying half in closet. Closets full of stuff. Floor bubbled. Very low pull in. Not as close to beach as you would think. Improvements need to be made. On positive note....we were happy that we were refunded right way the pet deposit.

Sorry for your impression of our beach home. I do not recall any conversation with you about a cancellation. We were not informed of any of these issues. We are very responsive to any issues with this cabin. I would agree that the floors could use an upgrade, along with a few other things. They will be addressed in the off season of 2019-2020.

Beautiful home. Great location.
We had a wonderful time during our 3 night stay. The home was cozy and served our needs very well. The walk to the beach was further than I expected, but not so far that I felt uncomfortable letting my 14 and 15 year old walk back & forth by themselves. My only complaint would be having to bring our own sheets and towels. There's already so much to pack when going to the beach. That's just one thing that makes you're stay more welcoming. But overall, we enjoyed our stay enough to plan on returning.

It was great.
The house is really nice. Codes worked perfectly. Air-conditioners and televisions worked great, the bedrooms worked perfectly for our group. Deck furniture is a little weather worn but usable. There were a couple of minor maintenance problems and one pretty major one. The downstairs bathroom (which is a full bathroom) was not really usable. The septic system was full and if you used the toilet, it backed up into the shower making both unusable. I reported everything to the owner and received a prompt response that they would take care of it. All-in-all it was a great stay. The neighbors were nice, everyone had dogs and they all got along. We will definitely rent again.

Quite location, short walk to beach great getaway.
We had a nice stay and the location was perfect. Quite location and the beach was a short walk away. Just what we needed. You can see the upgrades that have been done which are very nice. The beds were a bit rickety but okay in the the bigger room. Scott said new beds were due to go in. The only thing that I thought that need immediate attention was a new outside grill as two of the wheels were missing. Over all we had a lovely stay, hubby, kids and dog were happy. We would stay again for a weekend away.

Enjoyed the vacation and location ..... But Accommodations were ???
The location was great, but the home needs some TLC. Furnishings slightly dated and a little worn. The cleanliness was disappointing, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. We definitely left it cleaner than we found it. The BBQ grill grate was rusted through and questionable to cook on.
