Very well appointed and large bedroom room. AC unit & ceiling fans worked well with the louvered & screened shutters. Excellent lighting. Spacious bathroom. Shower had decent water pressure and hot water had few lapses of temperature. Appreciated the large smart TV..No local channels, but common apps available.
Love this property! Staff is absolutely the best! Food is a bit overpriced, but good. A true Jamaican experience in the Jungle! The views from the hotel are immaculate.
LF jungle retreat is a nice quiet, secluded very well maintained property with lots of fresh fruits and fruit, fruits, and vegetation. The sea view from the second story bar overlooking Port Antonio is spectacular!
The nature surrounding the retreat is breathtaking and they have a wonderful sight seeing tower, however staff is not very friendly, food is overpriced at the restaurant and they have the worst road from the main road to the resort.
Simone was simply the best! We loved everything about this getaway. Best to have transportation or have front desk get a taxi for you, the walk up from main road is quite a hike.
Food was excellent, very impressed with the chefs selection of food.
Will be back for sure
This hotel boasts a fantastic location for exploring the surrounding area. The food offered is delicious and satisfying, providing a welcome culinary experience. Guests can enjoy the comfort and cleanliness of well-maintained rooms. The staff's exceptional service contributes to a positive overall experience. A special mention goes to Simone at the front desk for her outstanding assistance.
Cute little spot in the jungle near all the best bits of Port Antonio. Steep 5 minute drive up the hill, you might spot some fireflies on the way if you're lucky.
Great service with a particular shout out to Trudy at breakfast whose smile and fun nature made every morning a treat.
In the midst of an upgrade and some design choices might not be to my taste but it's incredibly good value for money and that panoramic view from the bar is unforgettable!

Liked: Cleanliness
I recently had the opportunity to stay at the LF Jungle Retreat, and my experience was a mix of highs and lows.
The Good:
View from the Suite: The view from my room was truly lovely, offering a serene and natural setting that was perfect for relaxation.
Cleanliness and Comfort: The room itself was clean and well-maintained, with a great big bed that was very comfortable. This made for a good night's sleep.
Family Time: I used the retreat primarily as a base to spend quality time with my family, and it served this purpose well.
The Not-So-Good:
No Hot Water: Unfortunately, there was no hot water available during my stay, which meant I had to shower in cold water. This was a significant inconvenience.
Dining Experience: I had the opportunity to enjoy one evening meal during my stay, but it was disappointing. The menu lacked traditional Jamaican options such as rice and peas, curry goat, or jerk chicken. Instead, it was a simple chicken and pasta dish that didn't reflect the local cuisine. Be warned breakfast and evening meal not included in the price you pay on your card when you check in.
Overall, while the LF Jungle Retreat offers some great amenities and a beautiful setting, there are areas that need improvement, particularly in terms of basic comforts like hot water and more diverse dining options. With a few tweaks, this could be a truly wonderful place to stay.
The resort was exactly as described. Clean , secluded , in touch with nature , great and helpful staff . Overall a very good stay

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The hotel offers a beautiful view over the bay and has a great boutique feel, with the hotel, restaurant, and bar all seamlessly integrated in one place. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming.
The main downside was the room, which did not quite match our expectations. While it was very spacious, it featured a mezzanine floor with steep steps that felt unsafe for our baby—something that wasn’t apparent from the photos. In addition, the large wall of windows had no curtains, so we were woken up early each morning by daylight. Lastly, there seemed to be an issue with the hot water, which fluctuated between very cold and very hot.
Room: Adequate - but shower curtain falls outside shower tray flooding the bathroom floor every time we showered. Faucet for new and stylish sink not firmly attached.
Waiting staff in dining room - well intentioned but not well trained.
