Perfect Alpine road retreat
We loved staying at Judith's home in Porepunkah, very cozy and well appointed. Great location for heading out to Beechworth and Bright environs for day trips and biking. Judith is an amazing host!

Fireplace with no wood
A fireplace without suitable kindling and smaller start up logs is useless. No ambiance. No warmth. Two nights booked . There should be two nights worth of wood with all the fixings to get a fire going.

Hi Luke, I am terribly sorry about your experience as our cleaner clearly forgot to leave adequate supplies for fire but could have easily been rectified as we were only a phone call away Thanks for your feedback

Great family weekend
Everything you could possibly need in a lovely bush setting. Great communication from hosts. It’s obvious much love and consideration has gone into this property. Only feedback is overall cleanliness. The floors specifically needed a really good vac/ mop. Only really an issue with little ones playing on the floor! Overall however a great property. Thanks for having us :)

Well worth the stay
The location of this cute little house was perfect. A walk to the main street and local cafe, and the relaxing river behind the property. Perfectly quiet, clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Great little spot
Excellent location - easy to get to places like Bright and Mt Buffalo. Nice and private accommodation with pretty scenery nearby. Short walk to shops and cafes. The beds, however, were not very comfortable - they were firm but quite hard. The place was also very dusty in some spots like on top of the fridge or behind the TV cabinet. The cleaners need to be more thorough to make sure there's no dust floating around to create issues for people, especially those with respiratory issues.

Hi Nina, Sorry for the slow response but we wanted to test the bed out ourselves and completely agree with you - We have since bought a lovely comfortable new mattress. I am sorry to hear about the dust - I could have sent a cleaner back in to rectify. We take great pride in offering a clean space - unfortunately my regular cleaner was sick and we remotely had to rely on a fill in Very challenging times atm with staff shortages and a lot of illness going around Thank you so much for your understanding Kind regards Judith

Perfect!
Riverfront Retreat is true to its name. The location is excellent, perfect as a base for exploring the region and it is certainly a retreat; peaceful, comfortable, private and quiet. We were impressed with the presentation of the property; it was clean, well organised and generously stocked. The host, Judith, was great to communicate with; welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended!

Located in Porepunkah, this accomodation is on the river and is fully self contained. A peaceful location close to Mt Buffalo National Park and its many walks.

Such a Beautiful Spot!
It was everything we had hoped for - beautiful spot on the River with all the modern comforts inside. Private river access perfect for fishing or sending the kids down on a tube. Close to the centre of town for Rail Trail / Coffee / Porepunkah Hotel / kids Park. Will definitely be coming back.

a lovely property and location
backing onto the ovens river was delightful and overall features of the property were great. Things that need improving were, a fan in the bathroom, and a more comfortable mattress in the master bedroom. All other amenaties were amazing.

Cosy and warm. Perfect base for day trips to Mount Buffalo. Easy ride into Bright along the rail trail. Great host communication. We particularly loved the open space out the back to play footy.

Gem in the heart of Porepunkah ❤️
We are so happy we have found this gem at the heart of Porepunkah, a place we have not heard of before. So glad I have come across it in Stayz. It is less than 10 minutes from Bright and about an hour from Mt. Hotham. The house has a lot of character. The towels and linens are fresh. The kitchen utensils and appliances look new and are sparkling clean. Everything we needed for our stay was available. Every part of the house has obviously been updated and is instagram-worthy 😉The location is fantastic. It is right next to the river. It is just beautiful. You would not regret staying here. I just cannot rave about it enough.

We had a wonderful couple of days at this property. They had everything we needed. Beautiful wood fire with plenty of wood to keep us warm on those cold nights. The property backs onto the ovens river which was beautiful to sit beside while having a morning coffee. Definitely a place we will be back to.

Tranquil retreat
We were very fortunate to spend 2 weeks at this beautiful property and could have stayed a lot longer!! Super clean and had all the comforts and everyday essentials for a relaxing getaway. Set on a stunning, spacious property we enjoyed our time outdoors as much as we did indoors. The owners are exceptional and made our stay hassle free and truly memorable! Would highly recommend this beauty! Xx
