We took the train from nearby San Lazaro di Savenna which has free parking. Note that there is a Trenitalia ticket machine at this location but it is only on the one platform and is hidden until you get to the top of the main stairs. If arriving by train and walking to the hotel, note that it is possible to exit the terminal on the same side of the bridge as the hotel to cut down the walk from a bit over a mile to a bit under.
