Fabulous house and grounds & a lovely host,what more can you ask for.
Pros: Isabel was a wonderful host who gave us lots of fruit and veg and two bottles of wine from their vineyard. Then took us on a tour of the house and grounds with a glass of wine each.
The house looks gorgeous inside and out. We loved that it has excellent air-conditioning throughout the whole house but each room is adjustable. It's fully integrated so quiet and works really well. Each bedroom has an ensuite, which has a lovely large walk in shower. The beds were comfortable and with shutters the rooms can be dark, so sleeping was lovely.
We particularly liked the large veranda with comfortable seating as well as a dining area and used this a lot which had great open views. The pool was a saltwater pool ( which we love) and long enough to swim laps. It was just a great pool. The grounds are to die for. Fruit trees to collect figs, animals to feed ( which we did daily) hens to collect eggs from and beautiful just to wander around.
Cons: We loved it all, we could walk to the village in less than 10 minutes for daily pastries. The local restaurant was generous and very good value. We walked to local villages to see local celebrations taking place and to the river. And we loved the house.
