It was OK

It was an ok stay, what we really liked was the fact that though we had unknowingly booked and paid for room which had no en-suite bathroom. I’m glad to say that the host upgraded our room without an extra charge. The check-in and checkout process was also hassle free. They don’t have an in-house restaurant but do have a neighboring one 500m away

The forested setting, so beautiful and tucked away distinguishes this spot. The laid back tropical feel, knowledgeable and warm owner operators make this a very special place to stay. It’s a distance (20 min walk) from the beach and town but that ensures you are wakened by birds and the distant roar of the ocean, not partiers! We found this a restorative and relaxing stay. Breakfast was excellent and the resident pets made it feel like home.

TERRIBLE WELCOME AT GALA GALA ECO RESORT BY BEV!

My dates were 18-21 Dec. 18 arrived late bust Bev asked someone to show us to a room that sleeps 2 and toilet smells of urine. I said I booked for 4 she insisted 2 so she checked I told her I have the mail. She checked and dismissed me not even looking at me and then Gabe me a two room. I checked the room when I booked it had one double and 2 single I wanted to have my children stay with me. But the one she gave had my children sleeping in another. She said this was deluxe and she is doing me a favor because I paid for a standard. she said that I should stay two nights there and the 3rd she’ll give me the beach chalet with pvt beach. I saw this in my booking so I think she gave that which I supposed to have to someone else and she had this available only the 21. She sounded upset and was dismissive and complained to other guests about me because I can over hear as all the rooms are close by. She seemed a real racist stubborn and horrible and I will never again book with hotels.com again this was my first time. I travelled this year 8 times to and from South Africa and I never had this issue before. She even sent me a mail a few days before to check if I’m still coming over. Why is this was she letting my 4 sleeper to her friend? I had to stay one night but I went to Maputo and booked hotel Terminus for the other two nights and never went back there. She is a horrible women who would lose you many clients unless offcourse they may be a color to her liking! You are the worst!!!

Too expensive for what you get

Might have been a very nice place some years ago. Definitely not only needs some new paint. Staff was ok but always hard to find. Location is nice but really far tucked away from the beach or the town. Wouldn’t stay there again to be honest.
