"It takes forever to get the host to give you an answer to a question or concern you have, to the point you no longer need an answer from them anymore. There is no phone to call, so you are at their mercy if you need something from them. They may write "I'll get back to you", and then you wait hours with no response. The checkout is 10am (which is an hour earlier than most places). If you need an hour or two overtime they want to charge you almost the price of an entire day extra. We made sure to...

"Our stay with our pup was amazing! The rental is super clean for 2 people and a dog, and the backyard pool area included everything needed for some fun in the sun! Zero complaints on the spot... a short drive to downtown restaurants like Burning Barrel. Only possible issue you may deal with is a bit of a micro managing host who will spy cam you. Not an issue if you follow the rules, but just a word or warning to not try and throw a party with additional guests."

"We had a wonderful stay at this South Lake Tahoe home with our family! The location perfect, close to everything we wanted to do while still being in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood. The house was very spacious, clean, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable during our stay. "We have stayed in many STRs over the years. This was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had. Because of a VRBO AI mistake we had to book this property last minute. We originally planned to book for 1 night. Upon checkin we found the king bed unmade with its sheets in the washer. The carpet was filthy, the fridge hadn’t been wiped down, there was trash in the kitchen can and the DW hadn’t been unloaded. It seemed their cleaner had left without finishing. We had no way of knowing what had been...
