Owned by Cyrus Skinner, a known outlaw and suspected gang member of the Innocents Gang, the saloon quickly became one of the wildest places in town. During its heydays, there were a number of shootouts in the saloon, including one where a bullet went astray, punched through the wall, and killed a woman across the street. On another occasion, two gamblers in a dispute, drew their guns and blasted rounds at each other. Though neither gambler was killed, a bullet killed a drunk man who was passed out on the floor.

Perfect family vacation!

We had a great time in this cozy yet spacious cabin, all decorated for Christmas- it was our perfect getaway. The hot tub was so nice after ski days at Lost Trails and Chief Joseph and we all slept comfortably.

Lovely Home!

Absolutely loved our time here and would love to be back anytime we can. The house was incredible and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Had a lovely time skiing Maverick and soaking at Elkhorn and this house was the perfect place for our stay.

Polais Family get away

We had an amazing time at the Aspen View Lodge. We would love to come back and spend more time. There is so much to do in the area. The Aspen View Lodge is very comfortable for large groups, extremely well stocked, and offers ammenities for all ages. We loved our stay there.

Jaw-dropping family weekend

Pleasant weekend with my siblings and in-laws. My sister family house is down the road so it was perfect. Beds were super comfortable, tv in every room, awesome showers, excellent space for kids, and gorgeous views from rooms/hot tub. Affordable!

Beautiful spot with convenient gear room for 9 people’s ski stuff, plenty of space and fun touches like cornhole in the garage. Highly recommend it.

Winter Wonderland

When I think of cabin, I generally think small and rustic. This cabin was neither small nor rustic. It easily accommodated nine adults. The kitchen was fantastic. The location was superb. It was a great getaway even without Maverick Mountain being open for skiing.

Beautiful home with great views!

We had such a great time staying at this beautiful home with our family and friends celebrating my husband's 60th birthday! Cozy and welcoming with everything we could possibly need. Amazing gear room for skiers or snowmobilers.

Family getaway!

This cabin is beautiful! It is spacious, has everything you need, and amazing views of Maverick Mountain. We enjoyed our stay with our three adult kids relaxing, playing games, and hot tubbing. As I was walking around the property I saw moose tracks in the snow. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Majestic and magnificent Montana vacation

This area is so serene and so pretty with all the gifts Mother Nature blesses us with . It’s a great place to just escape and relax or one can take advantage of many area “ things to do “ The owners provided a wonderful book of options for places to see or things to do. This property is just as stated on the site ! Loved it all.

Maverick Mountain getaway.

We had a great stay at this wonderful house. The view of Maverick Mountain is fantastic. The hosts where wonderful, and the property is just what we expected. Maverick Mountain is a wonderful gem thats 5 minutes from this property. The main dining room table fit our entire family... it was a blessing as we were all there to celebrate our daughters wedding.

Aspen View Drive

The place was awesome it had everything you could need while staying. It had several tables inside n out to have a big group eat or for socializing. Fire Pit. Hot Tub. Beautiful views off the front deck of the mountains and sunset.

64th Birthday with family

We stayed here with our daughter and son and their families over my birthday weekend. We had a wonderful time! The home is so perfect for a large group. Beds were very comfortable. Really enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. Wonderful seating accommodations. Everyone had so much fun at crystal park and Jackson Hot springs. The hosts have thought of everything. I would highly recommend.

Great experience

We very much enjoyed our experience! We were celebrating a family birthday. The layout of the house facilitates easy social interaction but also private space to retreat to when needed. We love to cook and agree that the kitchen is very well stocked. Loved that there was a hot tub. Overall, this is a house that has been thoughtfully planned out and with an attentiveness to details that made staying here a great experience. Of course, the Big Hole Valley is spectacular too. Highly recommend!.

Perfect Getaway

Absolutely amazing property. The views are stunning. You can tell the owner spends time here. There were two moose in the back yard on several mornings. The hot springs are 10 min away. There is a tiny little grocery store on the same road that somehow has everything we forgot in town. For anyone not sure about booking this home I can promise you wont be dissapointed.

A gem

This place is huge. 9 of us total (4 adults, 1 teen, 4 children). Enough space although there was some elbows flying fighting over the top hideout bed. It was neat. So many options where to sit to eat. We had to fry them all. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub. I loved the amount of bathrooms. Fire pit was beautiful and perfect for a fire and spooky games. True to their word just pack yourselves and clothes. Lots of small things like spices that one forgets when travelling. Paper towel and toilet paper on site so no scramble to town which is 45 mins away. Although the “mama” store down the road did carry things that were forgotten (eggs and milk) We very much enjoyed our stay. We drove 11+ hours to get here but now we can say Montana has a check mark beside it. Loved crystal park, ghost towns. Elk horn hot springs is near too… I think our hot tub was the better option thou! I appreciated the book they have with info of nearby attractions. I’m sure skiing would be a ball out here! Loved this property! Hosts went above and beyond with how well stocked this place is for your everyday needs! We loved our stay and the location was great for a true Montana feel. We stayed with two other couples and the bedrooms were spaced out nicely so we all had our own space but the common area was big enough we could all gather together comfortably. Would absolutely stay here again.
