La propriétaire du camping est très agréable. Petit repas du soir prêt à notre arrivée. Équipement du bungalow simple mais efficace. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour et reviendrons avec plaisir ! Merci Geneviève !

Perfect stay for holidays

Nice and cosy place in the "forest". Balkony was really nice and everything nesseccary things you need in the kitchen. Deep hills up to Kotesi but you find the place easy with the great infomail from the host. Some minuts driving to the closest villages, not so many resturants in the nighbour hood.

location située dans le calme d'un magnifique parc ! avec uniquement le chant des oiseaux ! La gérante très gentille est toujours à l'écoute d'un moindre service demandé ! Elle nous prépare un succulent repas typique pour le diner du jour d'arrivée !

Tester c'est adopter , absolument génial.

Extraordinaire endroit, en pleine nature . Confort et authenticité à deux pas de la mer. Pour les amoureux de la Guadeloupe, c'est juste l'endroit de villégiature qu'il vous faut.

Un séjour haut en couleur

Nous avons passé 5 jours dans ce havre de paix au cœur de la végétation luxuriante dans un charmant bungalow. Équipé d'un lit king size très confortable, d'une cuisine aménagée et d'une terrasse donnant sur un jardin peuplé de petits oiseaux chanteurs. La responsable du lieu est très sympathique et aux petits soins avec ses hôtes, autant que violette son petit chien qui viendra vous rendre visite à l'heure de l'apéro. L'accès au site se fait par une route à la pente très raide mais on s'habitue vite.

Comfortable bungalow with mosquito netting, wifi. Garbage should have been collected more often. Found some cockroaches in room. Could have used more shelves for clothes etc.

Ce n'est pas un hôtel, c'est un gîte.

Très difficile à localiser, surtout lorsque l'on arrive le soir, et avec des chemins très accidentés. Situé dans le bois, malgré une terrasse invitante, il nous a fallu manger à l'intérieur...

Great place very close to Costeau Reserve

Kotesi is owned and managed by Mme Genevieve who welcomes you with a Tipunch and local specialities. It has a feel of paradise amidst a beautiful botanical garden. The bungalow is equipped with everything. Plenty of nearby beaches, diving opportunities at the Costeau reserve and you can hike the vulcano if you feel adventurous. Hope to be back- a la prochaine. Hôtesse très accueillante

Accueil chaleureux et présence discrète et souriante. Bungalow dans un joli jardin aménagé et éducatif, situé sur les hauteurs de Pointe Noire où la fraîcheur nous permet de passer d'excellentes nuits. Nous avons adoré le dîner préparé pour notre arrivée ainsi que le nécessaire pour le petit déjeuner. Une intention très appréciable après un long et fatigant voyage. Le bungalow est très bien aménagé, confortable avec une belle terrasse dans un écrin de verdure. Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour. A recommander.

Ho soggiornato presso questa struttura per quattro notti. La sistemazione è organizzata in bungalow con un letto matrimoniale e un letto a castello, angolo cucina e bagno. La manutenzione e la pulizia del bungalow non sono si sono rivelati all'altezza delle aspettative. Il bungalow ha necessitato di una pulizia da parte nostra non appena arrivati in quanto sul pavimento erano presenti diversi insetti morti. La struttura non è facilmente localizzabile.

Relax in the mountain

Friendly and wellcoming owner, who is a lady dedicated to improve every day and share her beautiful garden. She has a lot of details with us like take and drop off us at the airport, wash our clothes and invite us to a delicious reception. You feel really at home. It's compulsory to rent a car.

Wundervolle Lage und Herbergschefin

Die Bungalow-Location Kotesi liegt sehr versteckt auf einem Berghang, im "Dschungel". Ohne Navigation sehr schwer zu finden, da relativ schlecht ausgeschildert. Aber einmal da angekommen, fühlt man sich sofort wohl. Die Anlage ist ein kleiner, aber feiner idyllischer Botanischer Garten mit unglaublich viel Ruhe! In 2 Bungalows ist nur Platz für 8-10 Gäste und wir waren dort zur zweit ganz allein. Nach äußert interessanten Tagesgeschehen, kann man hier so richtig gut relaxen!

Un bon compromis entre tourisme et authenticité

L'endroit est étonnant. Il faut y accéder, sur les pentes d'un ancien volcan (le "Belle Hôtesse") mais cela ajoute au pittoresque du lieu. Puis l'on arrive dans cet espace qui a des allures de jardin botanique. En pleine nature, bien que les environs soient habités. Les animaux sont présents : oiseaux de toutes sortes (en particulier deux rouges-gorges qui ont assisté à tous nos repas), poules, grenouilles le soir... Le confort est simple mais nous installe dans la simplicité de la vie sur l'île. L'hôtesse mérite aussi notre curiosité. Par ailleurs, la ville de Pointe Noire n'est pas touristique, cela favorise l'approche de la population locale. Nous recommandons également la table d'hôtes "L'Oasis", située un peu plus bas dans un endroit improbable et tenu par un original. Les plats de poissons y sont délicieux.

Nette Bungalows im Regenwald

Das Kotesi ist nicht ganz einfach zu finden und die Anfahrt auf teilweise nicht geteerten, steinigen Wegen etwas abenteuerlich, aber die Bungalows sind ganz schön und gut ausgestattet, insbesondere die Küche, hier gibt es alles was man braucht - sogar Frühstück, wenn man spät anreist :-) Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und zaubert tolles kreolisches Essen. Beachten sollte man unbedingt, dass man sich hier schon hoch oben im Regenwald befindet und sich sehr vor Moskitos in Acht nehmen muss - aktuelle Dengue-Fieber Epedemie auf Guadeloupe!! Die Bungalows sind leider überall offen, so dass die Moskitos überall herein kommen können. Über dem Bett kann man zwar ein Moskitonetz aufspannen, aber man hält sich ja auch in der Wohnung auf. Ein Mietwagen ist hier ein Muss und er sollte stark genug sein um die steilen Wege zu meistern.

tout super accueil en particulier exceptionnel

très très bonne impression donnée par le lieu et les propriétaires.La côte est un peu raide à grimper à pied, mais le résultat au bout fait passer ce désagrément, d'autant que la voiture monte très bien! Super projet pédagogique et écologique en train de se mettre en place. Nous avons trouvé super l'invitation apéro de la propriétaire et de son conjoint qui a permis de dialoguer avec eux et les autres touristes. Grâce à eux, nous comprenons mieux la vie quotidienne des autochtones.

Simple and very remote wooden hut

Nice and caring Hosts. We had a nice welcome with local food and drinks. A very simple wooden hut, located in a neat garden with many flowers and palms. Badly soundproofed, storm at night can sound scary. Had a few tiny roommates: cockroach, gecko, frog. No air conditioning, old and uncomfortable mattress, mosquito net too small for the bed. Good Kitchen with real freezer and gas cooker (both good as new). Other equipement is partly old or heavily used. Barbecue area with light. Small TV and fast WLAN. Really remote, only accessible by a very steep and curvy road.

very nice and quit place

We had a very nice stay in the Kotesi bungalow. It is a haven of peace and very quiet. The garden is beautiful and the owner, Genevieve, very nice and helpful. The first evening we were invited for un ti punch with then other guests and ware served wonderful specialties of Guadeloupe which ware handmade from Genevieve a great cooker. There are plans to develop the garden even more; it will be even more be a little botanical garden in the future. Even in this moment you will find a lot of different plants with explanations boards. The road is in fact a little steep but in the first or second gear it's not really difficult to get up. Guadeloupe has a lot of roads like this its quit normal for this region. The signs to Kotesi are improved now and you get an e-mail form Kotesi with even more details for arriving after the booking and before your day of arriving. In fact there are now 3 roads you can use for the first part, if you miss one you take simple the next. The setting is gorgeous. The bungalow was nice and the kitchen was well kitted-out, most of it quite new. The wifi was working without any problem. We had a very nice stay and we come back the next time.

Fantastic hotel

We stayed at the Kotesi for 4 nights. The hotel was clean, and well maintained, comfort and amenities were also great. Only one thing need to be improved... the hotel directions, signs from both the hotel and city are almost invisible, the indications for "trou caverne" should be replaced by the city, I think that the owner should request the city to change them as they are invisible from one direction, and the extent of the damages from the other direction makes it invisible. As far as the hotel sign it probably dates more than 20 years and the hotel owners should invest a few Euros to replace it. We arrived late in the evening and lost almost an hour to find the hotel...

Idéal pour rayonner en Basse-Terre

Accueil et relations sympathiques. Environnement pleine nature ravissant. Très bien situé sur la côte sous le vent : entre le bourg authentique de Pointe-Noire et celui plus touristique mais très charmant de Deshaies.

En harmonie avec la nature.

Idéal pour découvrir la vraie Guadeloupe loin des touristes et grands hôtels. Attention ce n'est pas un hôtel de luxe avec vue sur l eau turquoise mais trois bungalows au confort simple mais pratique en pleine nature , au calme, au frais. Le jardin en pleine évolution est très éducatif et ludique. La directrice sympathique et discrète . Juste un petit soucis d eau chaude Attention l accès est peu visible..(le panneau Trou Caverne est taggé , entre l abris bus et l'épicerie )et la route très raide. Préférez le bungalow Carambole .
