Hotel mit besonderem Flair

Das zu einem Hotel umgebaute Lustschloss liegt nahe des Sees und hat ein eigenes Strandbad, das gleich gegenüber auf der anderen Straßenseite liegt. Das Strandbad soll bis Mai nächsten Jahres komplett umgebaut und erneuert werden. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Leider sind die Zimmer zur Strasse hin relativ laut, auch könnte das ein oder andere Sitzmöbel erneuert werden. Auf unsere Bitte hin bekamen wir ohne Umstände ein Zimmer zum Innenhof, der sehr gemütlich und romantisch liegt. Das Frühstück war vielseitig und reichlich, leider waren die Öffnungszeiten der Hotelbar zum Saisonende hin sehr kurz.

Die Seele baumeln lassen am Leon Beach

Tolles Frühstück im Gastgarten. Leider sehr laute Lage - Stark befahrene Straße auf der einen, Bahngleise auf der anderen Seite. Kein Hinweis auf hauseigene Veranstaltung im Gastgarten welche ebenfalls ziemlich laut war und lang gedauert hat. Gut schlafen konnten wir in diesem Urlaub leider nicht (09. - 11. Juli 2015).

Ort der Ruhe mitten im Geschehen!

Sehr schönes Hotel in schöner Lage, Ort der Ruhe. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, der Badestrand ist für die Menge der möglichen Hotelgäste etwas klein geraden. Störend ist der Bootsverkehr am Anlegestrand des Badesteges.

A truly lovely hotel - only point to make is that the access to the lake is only possible when crossing the road. The pictures on the booking site do not "advertise" this very well.

Perfektes Wochenende trotz Schlechtwetter

Wir waren über das Wochenende in Pörtschach im Schloss Leonstain und sehr zufrieden mit diesem liebevoll restauriert und dekorierten Kleinod - super freundlicher service, sehr sehr bemüht, uriges aber schickes Interieur, tolles Frühstücksbuffet mit allerlei Köstlichkeiten. So hat der aufenthalt trotz sintflutartiger Regenfälle in Kärtnen Spaß gemacht! Gerne wieder.

Hotel Schloss Leonstain

Wir waren nun schon das 2. Mal im Hotel Schloss Leonstain. Das Schloss hat einen einmaligen, romantischen Charme, dem man sich nicht entziehen kann. Allerdings muss erwähnt werden, dass es direkt zwischen der Hauptstraße und einer Bahnstrecke liegt. Der Seezugang befindet sich quer über die Straße und nennt sich "Beachclub Leonstain". Der ist allerdings verpachtet und mehr oder weniger öffentlich zugänglich. So freundlich das Personal im Schloss selbst ist, so unfreundlich ist das Personal im Beachclub. Das Servicepersonal ist mehr mit Plaudern beschäftigt als mit dem Wohl der Gäste. Seit unserem letzten Besuch (2009) wurde es auch nicht der Mühe wert befunden einmal die Liegen neu zu lackieren bzw. die Auflagen (zerissen, verbleicht) zu erneuern. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht von diesem angeblichen "Hot Spot" am Wörthersee. Positiv hervorgehoben werden muss allerdings das umfangreiche Frühstücksbuffet und die hervorragende Küche im Schlossrestaurant. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel und großteils mit neuen Sanitäreinrichtungen (leider in unserem Zimmer keine Abstellfläche für Duschgel o.ä.) ausgestattet. Die Fenster dämmen sehr gut.

Das war das bisher schönste Hotel meines Lebens mit dem besten Personal!

Ein Traum von einem "Original-Schloßhotel" mit super Küche - diese nicht billig aber den Preis wert. Die antike Qualitäts-Einrichtung und die Großzügigkeit der Zimmer sind schon ein Erlebnis. Das Personal war hochqualifiziert, hilfsbereit und zuverlässig. In das Hotel möchte ich sehr gerne wieder, auch da die Gegend gute Möglichkeiten für Sport (z.B. Golf, Rad fahren, schwimmen, wandern etc. hat).
