The Inn was very charming and cozy. We don't drive at night anymore and enjoyed sitting by the fire, which Kevin kept going without making it too much, and doing my crocheting. Also watched some television (it was the baseball playoffs after all!). Took some drives during the day to see the fall foliage which was a new experience for us since we're from southeast Texas.
Kevin and Karen were so welcoming and made you feel at home. Such a delightful place to stay in the middle of all the excitement of Meredith, NH and Lake Winnipesaukee/weirs beach!!!
We would visit again!!!
Karen and Kevin were outstanding hosts! Great stay. Beautiful B&B, delicious breakfasts, close to lakes and the town of Meredith. Highlights included a show at the Winnipesaukee Playhouse and dinner at Town Docks listening to great music from The Sweetbloods!
Inn keepers are truely committed to making sure their guests are treated like family. Return to this Inn every year, because it feels so much like visiting family. Good job all around.
My boyfriend is a total hotel snob from being a business traveler for years. I was so happy he actually agreed to stay here after seeing how high the ratings were on the property. Well he wasn’t disappointed and we loved our stay. The inn owners Karen and Kevin were very personable and friendly. The breakfast was great, eggs Benedict one day, quiche, homemade granola, ext. The inn itself is just lovely with a great fireplace that we sat at after we came back from dinner with some other guests. Outside there was a separate fire area by the pool that looked amazing but it was a little too cold to go outside when we visited. Our room had a sound machine which I sleep with every night so I appreciated that. There was also a little heater to warm up the room which was great. All in all it just made for a great getaway! 😊

Great place to stay and close to all town activities.
Both hosts were just super friendly and the breakfast quality was perfect.
The actual building was very interesting and quaint.
We were met by both Kevin and Karen, the proprietors, given a tour, brought to a comfortable room, and fed two wonderful breakfasts. A clean, historical property with unique rooms and comfortable beds with all amenities.... even a pool when it is warm. We loved it and will be back.
The property was well kept both inside and outside. Very quiet at night and the rooms were beautiful. There's quite a history to the inn as is demonstrated in the game room. Owner posted its history from 1763 to present on a log hung there. We did enjoy our stay.
Lovely historic inn and owners clearly invested in making their guests happy. From the game room to the delicious breakfast- all was terrific. The rosemary room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was small, and we did miss having a tv- but made do with our novels and each other instead.
We had a wonderful weekend at The Nutmeg Inn! The lovely Inn welcomes you with a feeling of nostalgia and comfort. We were greeted by Karen and Kevin and felt relaxed immediately. The breakfast of Kevin's homemade sourdough bread, scones, yogurt with Karen's homemade granola, fruit and Gruyere cheese egg bites were absolutely delicious. We would definitely return if the opportunity presents itself. Joan and Jerry
This trip was a last minute plan as we live pretty close by and wanted to get away for some time together. From start to finish the trip could not have gone better. The innkeepers were polite and prompt in their communication and arriving in the early evening we undertook a Scrabble game in one of several common areas right beside the fireplace. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The decor was accentuated by some beautiful quilts. We stayed in the Rosemary room which was exactly what we needed for a party of two. The stay was topped off by a delicious breakfast the next morning. My wife opted for homemade granola which we had smelt cooking the night before and I had eggs florentine. The Nutmeg Inn is definitely on our personal list for a repeat stay.
Karen and Kevin are very welcoming from the moment you walk into the inn. Our room and bathroom were immaculate and beautifully decorated. We were served a delicious breakfast. Late in the afternoon we sat on the deck overlooking the nicely landscaped yard and pool. The location is close to several lakes, restaurants and the playhouse. We look forward to returning.
