The rooms were spacious and clean, and the 10 euro breakfast was excellent with freshly cooked eggs and baked goods. The host was welcoming, and brought us two extra pillows immediately upon request. I would highly recommend staying here.

The property is a gem, moreover, Ilia (phonetic spelling) and his wife, were the consummate hosts. They were very considerate, helpful and friendly. The location is great for a visit to Lake Plitvice. The rooms are quite comfortable and the setting, picturesque. Breakfast was scrumptious.

Lovely property to stay at when visiting the lakes. Rooms and the whole house are immaculate and the breakfast was very tasty and filling, one of the best omelets!! We wished we had stayed for more than one night and will return again in the future.

Amazing property with friendly knowledgeable hosts! The room was beautiful and clean with an amazing shower. We have stayed in a lot of places during our trip and Green Lakes house has been the best so far! Make sure you get the breakfast- delicious. Close to the entrance to the park and Ilya (owner) gave us the best advice for the best way to hike the park. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Convenient place, thin walls

Great place close to the Plitvice Lakes. Very nice owners and pretty confortable beds. However the isolation is very bad: you can hear everything that is said outside and in the other rooms.

Basic and clean accommodation but for me a little far walking to the entrance of the park. It is better to drive to the entrance which is 5 mins away. After a 10km walk in the park in zero degrees, it is nice to be able to jump into the Ambar and drive back instead of walking another 3 km in the cold weather.

The owner Ilija is very flexible and kind. He waited for us for after 8pm checkin. The communication is easy. He also advised us how to visit Plitivice lakes, we followed his suggested route and had a great time. The room is bright, new and smell free (underline smell free), spacious, and adequate furnished. The shower has great water pressure. Provided nice shampoo and shower gel with olive oil in them. Provided heat in the evening to keep us warm. Easy onsite parking. Very comfortable stay with privacy near Plivitice lakes, less than 3km to entrance 2 parking. Just make sure use the address in car GPS, there is a “Lake House” nearby, car GPS may get confused. Google map works fine, however some area closed to the lakes may not have data signal. Many thanks to Ilija and his team.

We were 2 couples and booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. Rooms were clean and in good condition. During the second night, we (both couples) got together in a room and were chatting around 10pm (we weren't loud, just normal conversation tone). Heard someone loudly knocked at the door. On opening the door - there was no one. We heard someone going down the stairs. After looking for a minute, found it was a lady, we assume one of the staff living at the property. She did not talk in English and was somehow pissed because she could hear us in the basement. She did not have the courtesy of carrying out a conversation, even if she had a concern that we were happy to address. The following morning, they again knocked on our doors (read banged) at 10am sharp (check out time) and asked us to leave immediately. We were almost packed and politely asked that we would need an extra hour or a half to check-out. The owner/manager very rudely told they will charge us 10 euros for every late hour. We accepted and agreed to pay the late check-out fee. Then within the next 10 minutes, he disconnected the water supply and electricity of the rooms and had very hostile attitude towards us. This kind of behaviour is totally unacceptable. They need to learn how to have some decency and professionalism while dealing with their guests. There was nothing mentioned at the time of booking that you can not talk in your room post 10pm. They should clearly mention it. Not recommended!!!

Peguei apenas por uma noite e serviu muito bem para visitar os Lagos Plitvice. Fica bem perto da entrada, cerca de 5 minutos de carro. Tem Estacionamento gratuito no Hotel. Foi perfeito.

Pefekte Unterkunft mit super Service

Moin, wir waren 2 Nächte dort um den Nationalpark zu besuchen. Die Unterkunft war perfekt. Sehr gepflegt, Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auf Wunsch gab es ein sehr schönes Frühstück und nebenan konnte man richtig gut essen. Zum Park fährt man ca 10 Minuten. Für uns die perfekte Unterkunft!

The Green Lakes House is a very cozy place. It is located a short drive to the Plitvicka Lakes and waterfalls. The room is of a good size as is the bathroom. The entire property is very well maintained and clean. Breakfast at an extra cost (but very reasonable) was very good. A continental type breakfast plus a freshly cooked omelette, freshly pressed orange juice. The staff was awesome. Provided recommendations on what else there is to do in the area. The only draw back is there is not a lot of restaurants in the area other than Bistro type or at other hotels. We did find one that I recommend that is about 12 Km away in the direction of Split, called Vila Velebita, awesome food and great staff. Overall a very relaxing place to stay. I definitely recommend this property.
