This resort is far better than it appears online!

The staff were just lovely people. Friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The beach is fantastic. The room service menu could use some work however. While the breakfast menu was good, we were unimpressed by the mid day offerings. The facilities were lovely. Only real complaint was the music at the poolbar. I come to the beach to hear the sound of the beach and the occasional kid laughing or screaming. But listening to amplified music on the beach is a big no no.

Haven has a little bit of everything you are probably looking for on a relaxation trip to Cancun. Spa is amazing - highly recommend hydrotherapy circuit! Oceanfront swim-up room is perfection. Feels very private, even with neighbors on both sides. 4 pools to choose from (if you upgrade to the Serenity package) - finding seating can be challenging but you’ll quickly figure out the routine and how to secure seating for the day. We always had poolside seats every day and went to 3 of the 4 pools with 4 people. We did not go to the “Party Pool” so can’t comment on that pool. Wait staff at the three pools we were at was outstanding - always friendly, attentive, and quick. The men and women work hard - be sure to show your appreciation! As for food - if high-end dining is your priority then this probably is not the resort for you. While the food wasn’t “bad” a few of the dinners we had were “meh” at best. The lunch spot at the big pool had great tacos and fantastic signature drinks, Hibachi dinner was very good, Italian restaurant lacked ambiance but food was okay. The Tahani show was a diversion from the standard restaurants but the food wasn’t the star of the show. Room service for early dinner (not late night menu) is a pass. Again, we are not huge foodies so this wasn’t a big deal for us and we found plenty of food to eat that was just fine. One final note - this resort is very close to the airport super convenient!

It was amazing! The place was beautiful food was amazing, everything was good till it came to the pitch, they wouldn’t leave us alone kept trying to sell us, till we finally bought a certificate just to realize that night when we were about to use it to book our next trip, that it wasn’t the 60% off that they had told us it was.
