What an incredible week we had at Hacienda del Secreto! Our family of 4, along with another family of 4, stayed a week in Casa Canteena and we LOVED it! Mauricio, the Guest Services Director, and ALL of the Hacienda staff provided top-notch service, made us feel so welcome, comfortable, safe, relaxed and took care of everything so that we could truly enjoy every minute of our vacation. We really appreciated being offered different meal plan options to fit our budget (we chose the 4 day Palapa Plan), loved that we could pre-order our meals before our trip, the chefs and wait staff were fabulous and the meals were delicious! It was so convenient to be able to also order a la carte for any additional meals we wanted on the other days and really nice to be able to change the location of our meal from the Palapa to the Villa with just a little bit of notice. We were so comfortable in the villa, thoroughly enjoyed the private infinity pool, boogie boarding in the ocean, playing pool and chess at the palapa, beach volleyball games, relaxing in the hammocks, crab hunting on the beach at night, and a few of us were fortunate enough to witness a huge sea turtle lay her eggs the first night we got there--it was really something special! Everything that Mauricio arranged for us worked out perfectly...airport transportation, pre-stocked groceries, 2 wonderful excursions at Boca de Puma (zip lining, ATVs, and swimming in the xenote) and the awesome Royal Swim with the Dolphins--we loved it all! Mauricio even arranged for us to go from the Dophin Discovery Zone to Playa del Carmen to shop around and enjoy a delicious lunch at La Parilla. Mauricio was on top of everything and made sure we had anything and everything we could ever need or want during our stay. Our villa cleaning staff and pool attendants worked diligently every day to keep everything clean and ready for our enjoyment and the waiters were excellent at every meal. Our photo book from the Dolphin Swim was supposed to be delivered to us the morning of our departure, but when it had not arrived by the time we had to head to the airport, Mauricio kindly offered to "take care of it" and make sure it gets sent to us back home. The only 2 problems were (1) we had to go back home at the end of the week, (2) we had very frustrating airline issues on our trip home and all we kept saying was "If only Mauricio was here...He would save the day!" Big thanks for Cher, Meghan, Doy, Mauricio and all of the Hacienda staff!
