La Escondida is outside Playa's bustling city center, so it is the perfect place to relax. It is just a short trip into town, where you will find restaurants, souvenir shops, and nightlife. The beach is also a short drive from your neighborhood. Or set out to explore Tulum Jaguar Park (Parque del Jaguar).

Amazing place to stay!

We loved the whole place, amazing located and the facilities around the apartment are super clean and beautiful. Super recommend to stay for being a little outside downtown of Playa.

Great house, disappointing condition

Disappointed by this rental, great layout for the house but it needs repair. The house was not very clean, it was damp, it smelled, and needs maintenance as there were several issues. The linens were stained and need to be changed for new ones. One night I took a shower and the water just stopped, mid shower! The best part of this renal are the spacious floor plan and the property manager. I would not stay here again.

Lovely tranquil complex. Our unit had some major maintenance problems that took two days to remedy. That problem was no water when we checked in. It was after hours and no real addressing of the problem until the next day. But once contacted, action started, but again took at least a day to get attention and two days to repair. Some ammenities were not working: the hot tub. the dishwasher. Not big but still annoying. Some remotes for the hvac units worked. Some did not. The floor plan is very good. The unit could have been cleaner. Staff indicated that the unit had not been used for a very very long time.

quite nice place with very poor service

We spent 2 weeks with my family in this house. house as described. swimming pool very nice. the estate seems abandoned. beds very comfy. bathrooms clean. while the house keeper did not help us with our problems. Half of the light bulbs were not working. there was no cleaning equipment and he was unable to offer the service. The hot water was not working for 3 days, we didn't get any compensation. the blinds in the top room didn't work. We rented a house for 8 people and there were 6 glasses and 3 glasses.
