Owners are super friendly, cabin was very cute and comfortable. Seeing all of the animals that they have on property was very fun. The trails through the woods are beautiful. Very nice experience, and we would love to visit again and stay in one of the other cabins.

RUSTIC is not a sufficient word to describe what you are signing up for. Did not like the outdoor plumbing or cold showers. There is no AC. The property dogs are very friendly and loving. They hing out on the porch of our cabin often. They are also very dirty and often wet and muddy from playing in the creek.
The beauty and isolation of this property are hard to describe! The cottage itself is nestled into the forest- with large picture windows that look out onto the river. Deer stroll past these windows in the morning.
To get there- you have to drive through cowboy town- a Wild West town like a movie set. Complete woth a saloon, a general store, a chapel- many more.
The owner will guide you to the cabin- but she goes back down the hill- she is close enough if you need her, but you won't see her if you don't.
The owner herself is a character- and a cowgirl for sure!
You are surrounded by miles of hiking trails. AND... you like horses? Horseback rentals by the hour- incredibly reasonable.
This is long but - it was such a wonderful surprise! There is only one other cabin on the property she rents- and it's across a huge field.
We will be back! Highly recommend.
It was perfect for us! We really enjoyed the rustic cabin. We were happy we could bring our dog with us. It was the perfect spot to spend time with our son and grandson.
We stayed for the night for our 11th wedding anniversary. Holly is an amazing host, as soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed and given a tour of Cowboy town along with how it came to be. Then shown our cabin which was so beautiful. It was quiet and private, there was a wedding the next day and even the preparation for that did not interfere with our stay. We will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice private escape. Thank you Holly
Whether you’re looking for a moment of peace or a place for a party, this location has it all. We stayed in the Riverside Cabin for a quiet night, but had a blast exploring Cowboy Town and petting the horses and kitties that roam the property. If you’re worried about it being too rustic for your taste, it is a very short walk to the Cowboy Town bathroom, the outdoor shower is incredible, and the cabin was totally clean. You can stay at any soulless hotel, but this place? This place has heart, and we loved our experience!
Property is beautiful. Trails, fishing pond were wonderful. Was very disappointed the flush toilet, kitchen area or water for washing was up a hill and quite a walk to get to. Was somewhat disappointed with the cabin. It is very rustic which was fine. With no water to wash up with, it was difficult to prepare any type of food, drinks or campfire treats. If you plan on staying bring camping equipment for cooking. Everything from paper plates, cups etc to paper towels to bug spray. There is nothing in the cabin but a 4 cup coffee pot. (No coffee/sugar or creamer, no filters and NO water) Cabin was somewhat clean but mouse droppings were on the counter. Windows were very dirty to look through with lots of bugs and spider webs. Did not want to open the windows. Bed was okay, not great. No comfy chairs to sit on to read or relax. Only hard wooden chairs, a glider on the front porch and a hard bench for the fire pit. There is no food options unless you drive into town which isn't far.
The worst thing was while we were there trying to enjoy peace and quiet, the owners had people over on a Saturday to mow, weedwack and then ran a chainsaw from 1:00pm to 8:30pm. I can't say we will go back.
