You'll do some walking and stair climbing but otherwise was just what we needed and wanted! Owner was very accommodating when we had to bring the grandpup unexpectedly. Definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely, spacious and well appointed!

We had a great time visiting with friends and family. The home is very large with plenty of space for everyone. We had everything we needed and more. Pool table was an awesome addition. We didn’t use the hot tub, but it’s a great ammenity. Recommend for large parties who wants some personal space.

Unicorn house

Perfect for a girls weekend away

Our large group of cousins had so much fun for the weekend. The house was perfect with plenty of space for sleeping and hanging out together. Two great kitchens and a large living space. Our host was so responsive and made the whole process so easy. We will be booking again next year for sure!

Another great stay

This is our third year at the Lake House for our annual family holiday gathering. Our hostess Margaret was as informative and accommodating as ever and the property is well maintained, and exceptionally clean. We know that everything is well stocked and well organized. Great family getaway

We had a great family reunion at this property. The bedrooms were all large and accommodated our party. We had quick access to the bike path, swimming at the lake, and family hikes. We also really enjoyed the outdoor area which has a fenced yard, grill and hot tub! The listing was very accurate in terms of the amenities. The only part we didn’t love was that while there were 2 kitchens, the fully stocked one/one with the gas stove, along with the formal dining room, were tucked away from the family sitting areas, and were a bit out of the way from where everyone was hanging out, but if you’re not doing a ton of cooking that’s less of an issue! The neighborhood was also not super nice, but this was not a surprise and the house was fenced for privacy. Overall this was a perfect spot for our large family group and we had a great experience.

Wonderful property for gathering

This is a beautiful well appointed home. It has everything you need. We had 17 people staying at the house and there was plenty of room for everyone. Between the two kitchens we had everything we needed. Plenty of glasses, plates, cooking and eating utensils, towels, etc. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus. The yard was quite large and the fire ring had plenty of seating. The outdoor patio was mostly covered which was a blessing since it rained most of the time we were here, but we could still enjoy the outside. The very large family area was even better. Plenty of seating for everyone and we could all be in the same place. The beds were comfortable and the pictures accurately reflected the rooms. We had an adult sleeping in the “Captain’s room” and he thought it was great!

House needs some serious TLC, rent at your own risk.

The house is large as advertised but unfortunately the house is falling apart. I have rented dozens of houses on this site and others, and have never see a house in need of so much and such a dismissive owner. To start, the there was a leak in the bathroom ceiling downstairs that only got worse as the weekend progressed. There was water dripping out of a hole in the downstairs bathroom that basically made that bathroom unusable. When we contacted the owner, she responded and told us they know there is a leak and its on their list to fix. She did send "someone" over to look at the leak, not a plumber but a friend of her daughters. The didn't do anything to fix the leak but just to say it was an act of g-d, whatever that meant. The swing set in the backyard is a nice touch if only the swing didn't break when one of our 70lb kids sat on it. Again, we were told by the owner, to just deal with it. The house also has mice, which were seen as well as their droppings. The owner told us that is just what you get with a 'country' house. Lastly, there was a large skylight in one of the bedrooms that leaked, we were told by the owner that that was not water leaking but condensation. This same skylight at some point had two panes of glass b/c you can clearly see that one of the panes of glass broke as you can see shards of glass. Again, the owner was completely dismissive and told us to deal with it.

Great neighborhood location near the lakes.

A beautiful large home with plenty of bedrooms and space to just relax after a long day on the water or catching a show at Tangle Wood. Our family enjoyed the spacious bedrooms and large backyard complete with a fire pit, large hot tub, grilling area and ample seating. This home has two kitchens a large family room with a pool table, two full bathrooms and two laundry rooms. We will definitely look to book this property again when in the Pittsfield-Lenox area.

Fully stocked kitchen with plenty of glassware, dishes, cookware and the important coffee makers and a blender 🍹

Wonderful stay!

We had a fabulous stay at this lovely home in the Berkshires! The house was well equipped with everything needed to make our stay with our family so enjoyable. Great communication with the host in helping to resolve a small issue with loss of power on 2nd floor but was easily resolved.

great house!

Lovely home. Plenty of room for all of us (11 adults, 2 children). Generally very clean. Plenty of cooking materials, linens, etc. T.v. with huge screen. Two kitchens plus bbq grill. Nice location. Negatives: - Stove tops and oven were not clean. Oven smoked when we first turned it on and the smoke alarm did not go off. - No AC. Fans were fine for us in May but it might be warm in August.Overall, we had a great time. We would stay at this house again.

Great place to stay with friends. The house had plenty of amenities, the double kitchen worked nicely for doing light kitchen things while hanging out, the hot tub was great, and the yard was perfect for kids to run around and play in

Perfectly Located in the Berkshire Hills

Our stay was really quite wonderful. The host was very accommodating when it came to communicating with me. She promptly answered questions. The house is as stated. It sleeps many people and we all had our own bedroom. The main kitchen is well appointed and the smaller kitchen came in very handy. Seating for meals was plentiful with 4 tables. One day we had our cousins from Holyoke join us for the afternoon. We were 15 and everyone was very comfortable. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the first floor. The yard was great! My granddaughters enjoyed playing soccer. And, the lake is nearby. It’s a quick trip into town for groceries and necessities. The stairs to the 2nd floor are very steep. And, there is a step in the 1st floor hallway, 2nd kitchen is on a platform, 3 steps up to the laundry and one bathroom and a cubby bedroom with steps. I never went upstairs because the stairs are steep. If there are elderly people in your party that can’t make it up stairs you’re limited to 2 bedrooms because of the steps in the cubby room. We grilled one night but the propane tank was empty. I would check that out on arrival. There is a store down the road so we were able to replenish. Margaret’s house is very large and it sleeps lots of people. I would highly recommend it as a rental home. We had a great family reunion and I would rent it again. That it allows pets is a plus. I would like to thank Margaret for sharing her house with us. She is a terrific host.

Family Thanksgiving

We have stayed at this property twice before and have been very pleased with the amount of bedrooms and sleeping available. The property is always very clean and is equipped with everything you need for cooking and dining.the property is a half way point for family members in several directions.

Plenty of space!

Plenty of space to stay with friends but have your own space. Lots of outdoors activities in the area which was perfect. Clean, comfortable and pool table and hot tub were a plus!

Base for short term mission trip

We had a team of 13 on a short term mission trip in Mass. This house was perfect for our needs. We were about 30 minutes from the place that we were working but the area had plenty of restaurants, grocery store, etc. to meet our needs. The large house gave us plenty of room to accomodate a very diverse group including teenagers, adults and senior adults. The 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 washer/dryers, dining room and large family room were perfect for making this trip work for us. I am not sure we could have stayed anywhere more perfect than this house for our needs. The owner was wonderful in communication and accuracy of the listing. I would want to rent this house again if we go back to that area.

Family Ski Trip

We plan our annual family ski trip every January. We went to Jimney Peak. It was wonderful. The house was comfortable and close to the ski resort.

Excellent Thanksgiving Family Reunion

This was the second time we have spent our 4-day Thanksgiving weekend at Margret’s house, having stayed there in 2021. (Another family reserved before us in 2022.) Of primary concern to us were the kitchens (yes, that’s plural), which were very well stocked with all the cooking equipment you could need. Having two stoves and two refrigerators was VERY helpful. The large main room we used for eating and gathering. A big hit was the pool table, and we also used the fire pit in the backyard. Last year we stayed at a place in Norwich CT that was twice the price and half as nice. Strongly recommend Margaret’s place.
