This was a great location for enjoying a weekend in the city. It was clean, near everything we wanted to do, and the views in the neighborhood are tremendous. I highly recommend.
Excellent location just a couple minutes walk from the Duquesne incline and Mount Washington vista. Fantastic communication with the owner up to and through our stay. Apartment could use a few more amenities for nights staying in.
The host was very responsive to questions we have, particularly when we have our dog with us.
The place is well kept and organized. Overall we enjoyed our stay, especially the night walks with overlooking view of the downtown area.
Lovely apartment in a decent location. My family enjoyed our stay here. No complaints at all. Small, slightly old unit which was perfectly supplied with the basics and nice furniture/beds.
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary trip. It was our first time in Pittsburgh. The house was wonderful, very spacious and clean. The view of the city from just a few steps away was absolutely breathtaking. Worth every single penny! The host was wonderful, friendly, and went out of his way to send us links of things to do in the city since he knew it was our first time there. I will absolutely be staying here again in the future!

We enjoyed are stay it was a very easy and seamless process
The host was very responsive which was appreciated. The place was as advertised and met our expectations.
There were no excessive chores required during check out. If you plan on staying here, keep in mind beyond upscale restaurants and a beer distributor, there weren't maybe places to get groceries/supplies for the weekend within walking distance.
If you plan on walking downtoown it's very easy to figure out, take the gondola down the mountain and walk over a bridge or two and you'll be at PNC park or Heinz Stadium.
There are many positive aspects to staying here, and some negatives… I’ll start with the positive. The location was great, the off-street parking was really convenient, and the host was very quick with responses. The A/C worked incredibly well, especially for the week of hot weather we experienced. It was convenient to have linens and towels provided in each bedroom. You can tell that some updates have been made to spruce up an older property. Upon first glance the place looked clean, but after a few minutes, I l noticed the carpet in the bedroom was dirty and not vacuumed, there was an old coffee ring on the nightstand, and hairs found in the sheets. The kitchen sink was a little dirty, but I was able to clean it. The non-carpeted floor, however, did seem clean. There were plenty of closets but no hangers to hang clothes, and no dressers present. The only mirror in the place was the small old one over the bathroom sink. The bathtub filled with water when taking a shower, with very limited room to put toiletries while showering. The TV set up was strange, the channel selection was not like anything I’ve ever seen. Thank goodness we weren’t trying to watch something specific.
While the host was very responsive when I asked questions, I felt as though information could have been provided in the property such as WiFi password, TV channels, location of washer and dryer, and check out instructions.
If the issues I mentioned were not present, I would certainly give it 5 stars across the board. There were definitely more positives than negatives… but certainly room for improvement.
I equate this rental to that first apartment you rented with your buddies around the college years. Think dormitory, fraternity house. It is not the vacation, it was a place to shower, sleep and store our gear. Those 3 S's.
It is an old home, converted to two apartments. Narrow staircases, high ceilings, nice millwork with slapped together accomodations, basic IKEA furniture and worn features. The carpets are gross. One bedroom has a smell. The bathtub/shower is unfortunate, with a slow drain.
Location is superb. Great community with kind people, plenty to walk to for grub or coffee or just get the blood flowing on those hills. The incline and the best views of the city are moments away. Off street parking is a plus.
Back yard was enough to let kids run about, burning any leftover energy from touring the city.
Check in a breeze with instructions sent via instant message. Check out was a guess. We did the usuals of stripping beds, towels in bath tub, turned off items, etc. We broom swept, easily leaving it cleaner than when we arrived.
We had a request for more towels. Host handled promptly. Major storms wrecked the power. I advised host and they informed power company quickly. Communication was good.
There are two sets of top load W/D. They are in the basement. They worked just fine. Bring your own detergent and dryer sheets.
New carpets/flooring, fresh linens, attention to the bathroom would go a long way. Character is expected for an old home...
Our goal was to not be about the house much; we intended to be out exploring. That worked well here because some of the aforementioned disappointments were grating.
