Beautiful Cozy Cabin

The Romantic Strawberry/Pine Cabin was very cozy. The windows allowed beautiful view of tall trees. The heater was a little tricky, but once I dowloaded the instructions from the web we got it figured out. We'll definitely be staying here again.

Great Location - Very Private

It was a perfect location in the pines and felt very private. We enjoyed watching the elk crossing through the property on a daily basis. The furniture and bed were comfortable. Our only complaint was that the entry patio door was difficult to open and close and in need of maintenance and the non-stick cookware needs to be replaced as it is very worn.

Stayed 2 nights with my wife and 2 yr old son. Was a really cozy cabin with all I could ask for. Saw javelina, elk and a deer as far wild life goes. Plenty of firewood to have evening fires and smores with the family. Just a beautiful quiet area that was a perfect get away from maricopa to beat the heat a little and enjoy nature and all it has to offer. Will definitely go back for more enjoyment.

Awesome location!

What a cute cabin! The wildlife was abundant! Very comfortable! We saw elk, javelina, a fox, squirrels and rabbits. At times they came right up to the cabin. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely return! Plus, it was cooler than the valley!

We absolutely loved our stay in Heather's cabin. We wanted a quiet place to unwind and this exceeded our expectations. Having siding glass doors on all sides gives you the feeling of being outside while enjoying great a/c. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed. We saw elk everyday and a fox. It was extremely relaxing and private, but close to town and some great restaurants. We can't wait to come up when it's cooler and enjoy the fire pit. We would definitely recommend!

The cutest cabin for a simple getaway

My brother and I were looking for a small cabin away from Phoenix for about a week. This studio cabin was SO cute and we loved it. We did have a little trouble in the beginning with opening the gate onto the deck, but the guest contact was so quick to respond to the issue and immediately had it fixed during our stay. Saw some wildlife as well and the place was so cutely decorated. Was a whole vibe.

Beautiful modern cabin

This is a beautiful, open floor plan cabin (think square with no dividing walls). Three walls have sliding doors and windows for perfect views of the forest and wildlife. One corner has a large bed, another corner has a small bathroom with shower (good hot water!), another corner has a small kitchen fully equipped but only big enough for one person, and the 4th corner has decor/games. Would only recommend for 2 ppl. Biggest Pros: beauty of the cabin, seeing about 20 elk outside, only 9 mins from main shopping and restaurants. There were some kinks with the stay: this cabin is very cold! The heating unit is inadequate and you are warned not to turn it up or motor will blow. Because it’s a tall cabin, all hot air goes to the pull-down ceiling loft bed and none of it in the main floor. There was a plug in heater that didn’t work. We stayed when it was 60s and sunny. I would’ve been miserable if it were any colder outside. The only bathroom sink was badly blocked so we could only turn on faucet for a few seconds at a time. The shower conditioner wasn’t dispensing. The loft bed can only be accessed by pulling down a staircase. Not recommended for smaller children or older folks. There is a keurig but most of the pods provided were decaf. Coffee is important so I wish I had brought my own pot from home. It’s a truly beautiful property and a gem in strawberry.

We have lost count, but we think this was our 5th visit to the Chill Cottage and it never disappoints! We came up to a half a foot of snow in the yard. It was magical and didn’t mind shoveling our way in the little bit to instantly being relaxed! Heather offers the perfect escape and be ready for lots of visitors (elk & mule deer). We are excited to be heading back in a couple of months!!
