"A une quarantaine de minutes du centre de Kandy, cette superbe demeure coloniale au charme suranné surplombant une vallée vierge constitue un véritable havre de paix, aux antipodes du tumulte de la ville. David et Michael, les propriétaires des lieux, l’ont magnifiquement aménagée en rajoutant des touches art déco. "It was not quite what I expected. It was not 5 star by US standards, but it was ok. The mosquitoes were a bit much- having them in our bedroom and bathroom was annoying, but the staff did their best to help. Overall, it was ok, probably one of the better hotels in Kandy."

"Excellent views from high on hillside.
Important to pay attention to info sent about how to get to hotel - a lot of narrow steep roads.
Nice room and restaurant set-up.

"This hotel was beautiful, but the road to get there may not be worth it. It eventually turns into a dirt road and it can be dangerous. It is a very long way up the mountain. The only way to get there is a tuktuk or scooter, but that still could be dangerous. Just know that it is a long way out of Kandy."

"Lovely hotel overlooking Kandy with breathtaking views. All of the staff were so friendly and happy to help with anything we asked. Khan, in the dining room was especially attentive to our needs and always tried to make us more comfortable. The pool area is lovely too so you can relax after a hot day. It’s a bit further away from Kandy centre but I would say worth it for the stunning views and you can get a cheap tuk tuk into the centre in around ten minutes so fine for us. "
"Great hotel, amazing views of Kandy. Great swimming pool, nice breakfast and buffet (although I did have better at other places in Sri Lanka). I had a great time and I would definitely stay here again. Definitely recommend it!"
"Great stay at Cinnamon Citadel Kandy. Great clean spacious comfy rooms. Staff were amazing in all areas. Great drinks and buffet. Great chilling around the pool with plenty of comfy day beds. Would definitely stay again.

"All facilities excellent
Only suggestions
Liquid soap in bathroom instead of bars of soap
Bath could do with grab bars or a bath mat
Otherwise a beautiful location with stunning views "
"Nice place, good service.
Not many sun loungers at the pool.
Sad to hear that the leftovers from the buffet are thrown out and not given to the ones in need. Try to reduce food waste, and at the same time do something good for the ones without much."
"Large, modern and well equipped room with beautiful views over the city and a small balcony. The restaurant and bar area is very pleasant, on the rooftop with great views. Food is a little hit and miss. Just worth noting that prices on the menu don’t include taxes. When these are included, this, together with service, adds a third to the bill. This is really misleading and could be easily fixed. Excellent value overall though. "
