Not a terrible stay, but not the best either.Overall, the RV was about what you would expect from an older unit. It was clean and generally comfortable. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom and kitchen were adequate for a short stay. The couch is in pretty rough shape and likely needs replacing, but I didn’t use it, so it wasn’t a major issue for me.The biggest problem was the lack of working heat. Overnight temps dropped into the low 40s, and the inside of the RV stayed in the 50s. The host did provide a portable heater, but when I turned it on during the first night, it immediately tripped the breaker and knocked out power to half the RV. I reached out the next day, and to the host’s credit, he responded quickly and explained that he was already aware of the issue and had a repair scheduled later in the week. He also helped me locate the breaker panel. That said, it meant a second very cold night. After tossing and turning, I ended up leaving at 5am, which was disappointing after a long hike the day before. The outdoor setting also detracted from the experience. One side of the camper overlooks what appears to be a scrap or steel yard, while the other side faces a house under construction about 20 feet away, with HVAC parts, scrap wood, and debris scattered around. I also noticed quite a few nails in the driveway, which felt like a safety concern.Overall, it was an okay stay, but the heating issue and surrounding environment made it less enjoyable than expected.
