Check in was completely computerized, no one at the desk. First time in years that we stayed in a room that did not have a coffee maker, there were a few bars of soap but no shampoo or any other items. The room was clean but was definitely no frills.

Avoid !!!
Did not have hot water for two days. When we checked out was told we would be compensated with at least a partial refund .......Never happened. Will never stay there again.

Heads up...
You check in through a phone and video screen. This was an interesting experience. The tv did not work in our room, and we had to go to lobby to report this to the video monitor. We were instructed to move to another room. This place could have been nice, but it just wasnt clean. We found a dead roach in the blanket when we unfolded, and a bullet under where it was folded on the shelf. Yes, a bullet. My kid thought it was cool, but it was sketch. We bought sheets when we went out for our only night there.

THIS PROPERTY COULD USE SOME MAINTAINING. THERE IS PAINT COMING OFF THE WALLS. THE LIGHT FIXTURES DIDN'T HAVE BULBS IN THEM SO IT WAS CONSISTENTLY DARK IN THE ROOM. THE MATTRESS WAS VERY OLD AND WORN DOWN. JUST AN OVERALL UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE.

Just don't!
Started out ok for a one night stay, but realized the next morning that my husband's arms were covered in bed bug bites. Never gonna stay there again. Should have trusted the most recent reviews and cancelled the reservation.

We walked into our hotel room and I immediately thought it looked like a roach motel. I did see a dead roach, so I thought they had recently had a bug guy come through. I told my fiancé and bonus kid to flip mattresses and look for bed bugs. We didn’t see any. We slept. Next day was gone most of the day. Went back took a nap and left for dinner. Got back and lo and behold there is a bedbug right where my fiancé was sleeping full of blood. What’s bad is after we saw it and left the hotel I looked at reviews and people had been leaving reviews the past 2weeks about it and the hotel didn’t resolve the issue.

We have stayed at this property several times. It is very basic but seems to be in the process of being updated. We love the price compared to others in the area.

Roach infested
There were cockroaches in the room ! Called downstairs to let them know that I was coming to front desk to get a new room but after going to the front desk the gentleman at the desk was checking out as well because he had roaches. So we checked out . Not one apology from them . If that was me I would of apologized over and over but not them not one . Will never go there again.

The room was great some of the lights on the building were blown.the pool was a wreck I wasn't going to swim anyway but it was green and nasty.behind the motel was the river and there was a homeless guy sleeping on a picnic table which made me a little uneasy about my truck in the parking lot.the rooms did not have coffee makers.overall the rooms and staff were great just some things could be fixed

Staff friendly, but the room was awful. There was a roach on the floor when we came in, the shower walls were moldy, the walls were dirty, the towels were very rough. The shower head was great though!

Book three rooms. Bed bug and two of the rooms and roaches and the other.. told the staff and they knew they had a pesticide problem.. I love that they didn’t say nothing before check in.. staff was nice about the situation and didn’t act like we was lying.. will never book again

Musty smell in room. Bought febreeze and sprayed. Outdated , dusty. Bed was very firm and had a metal base that was loud when you got in or out.

October 2 night getaway.
I always enjoy staying at Tennessee Mountain Lodge because of there location, but this time the room was a little off. We found a pair of men's underwear that was hanging on the inside of the bathroom door and we killed 3 roaches during our stay and mold on the tile in the bathroom. I'm going to say that this was just a one time off time that happens to everyone, but i do hope that if we stay again that it would not.

The rooms were very clean. Tge beds were comfortable. The staff was very nice, helpful and friendly. The property id close to everything. Easy access to all attractions. I stayed for a week and had no complaints. I will stay there again.

My wife and I are seniors on a tight budget. We were very satisfied with our stay. Compared to other options, this was reasonably priced. There was a microwave and a fridge. The TV was a bit small but worked. Coffee was available in the mornings. Our room was a nice size. There were no concerns with cleanliness. I was apprehensive about the remote clerk sign in, but it worked very well, so no complaint there. I appreciated that there was also a staff member in the office for a personal touch with recommendations about restaurants etc. We absolutely would stay here again. I rated this facility "Good." It deserves a good rating. I would not hesitate to recommend it to a family or couple on a budget like we were. I would think most typical travelers would be satisfied with a stay here. So, Thanks Tennessee Mountain Lodge.

VERY disappointed.
Check-in was great (male attendant). Room was clean. We got there early and was able to check-in. We went to Dollywood for the day. When got back, we found there was no hot water. Went to front office to let them know and the very unpleasant female attendant told me that hot water was broken and someone had been called but it was going to take hour or more for them to get there. Later in the evening, we saw that they were working on it and I inquired at front desk (same female) and she had no clue as to how long. We went on to bed without being able to shower. Next morning, we were up early to leave and found still no hot water. Went to front office and no one was on duty (almost 7 am). I ran the door bell but no one came so we left to get some breakfast. Came back by and still no one on duty and still would not answer doorbell. Had to drive all day to our next destination. Very disappointed.

We rated an overall 4 stars for the cleanliness, and the friendly staff. What I did not like was the computer at the front desk that will take away from the personal connection with the staff on the premises. It’s nice when you can have a conversation with the people that are actually from the area verses people that just moved in or they are communicating from a distance with a headset on a computer. This is not how it works in East Tennessee. I’m indifferent to change as part of my family is from this area. Our room was what we needed for our trip though. It was very convenient to the strip, Dollywood and the entrance to the Smokey Mountains National Park. The room we noticed had modern floors, then part of the room was older like the bed my son had. It made an extremely loud noise when he sat down. It has been fun laughing about it; although, not a very nice touch to the room. The room could of used a microwave with the refrigerator to warm up our food too. If you are like us you are out and about most of the time anyway. If you are looking for high end hotel expect to pay more. This was great for us and most importantly no bugs!! And clean with a cost efficient price tag. I would return to this hotel in the future as long as it’s affordable.

This hotel is just a few minutes away from Dollywood. I stayed overnight for around $100 total with taxes and everything. I don’t think it’s worth the price but some of the hotels in the area that cheaper than that are downright scary when you read their reviews. The lady at the front was very nice but gave me the wrong room key and I had to come back to the desk which was a hassle. She also advised me that they close the front desk late at night so be aware of that. The room was clean but a stark, no frills, experience. You know you are in for something when you see an open Bible and it’s opened to the page saying, “Thou shall not want.” You get a few bars of soap but no shampoo. You get one box of tissues and a roll of toilet paper + whatever is left on the roll. The bathroom reminds me of my grandparents bathroom with the same color tile and very old fixtures. The faucet in the sink looks like it was installed by an amateur and was barely hanging on. You get a mini fridge and it is either barely cold in some areas or it will freeze your salad in others. It doesn’t have a dedicated freezer. Beds suck, old plastic mattress that you will slip off if you are not careful. The pillow is so hard it hurt my ear. Do you know how hard a pillow has to be to hurt your ear? I slept fitfully throughout the night. The AC worked very well and there was a large screen TV mounted above the bed. I didn’t see any bugs and took some of the free ice there was free coffee but no breakfast
