The Unaware Bear is a 4bd/3ba Cabin, 1 mile from the parkway, close to all the action in Pigeon Forge!

Lounge on one of the three decks that overlook the community pool + picnic area.

Check out Dollywood, hike through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, or ski the slopes of Ober Gatlinburg. End the evening with a soak in your private hot tub, followed by a book by the fireplace.

Gather in the living room on the leather chairs which sits in front of the gas stone fireplace, choose a movie to play for the group on the flat-screen smart TV equipped to access Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, or Amazon prime account. For more entertainment, try to beat the high score on one of our three arcades!

Stay Connected with your friends and family by snapping a picture at the selfie station with a life-size bear and photo props. Tag us on social media to receive discounts on your stay.

Hungry? Make your way into the fully equipped kitchen, featuring granite countertops with new appliances, and prepare a delicious home-cooked meal for your friends and family. Savor your meals from the charming dining room table and share stories of the day’s adventures. We even have a booster seat for children and camping themed dishes for kids.

After you’ve cleared the dishes, enjoy some fresh air and sip a nightcap from the hand crafted wooden love seat porch swing on the deck while keeping an eye out for wildlife. Before calling it a night, soothe your muscles in the hot tub so you aren’t sore for the next day’s activities.

My family and my sister’s family decided to take a trip to explore TN. We came across this listing and it didn’t disappoint. The house was clean and beautiful and the hosts were very easy to communicate with when needed! We had such a great time and hope to get back in the future.

Unaware Bear Winter Getaway

Our family weekend getaway in the GSM, the cabin had a great location to everything that we wanted to do. The Unaware Bear was clean and it felt like home away from home most definitely will use it in the future. The host was great to work with from the start to the end.

Great Getaway

I can't say anything bad about this cabin. My family was fortunate to stay here and Mike the host was always available if I had questions. The cabin was clean and in a great location. This is a cabin I want to stay in the future so hopefully always available for my vacations especially with grandchildren. Soccer tournament mountain trip

We stayed at this cute little place while in the area for a soccer tournament. Great location to everything we needed but off the main road enough to make getting in and out way easier! It had everything we needed for a long weekend! We traveled with 3 kids under 12 and they were very entertained with the games! A huge bonus for us was the fact that we were able to control the thermostat to meet our needs! We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for sharing your place with us!

Pigeon Forge Wedding

The home is large with 4 bedrooms and 3 baths and each is decorated beautifully and are welcoming. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful with trees and squirrels. We didn’t see a bear but what we believed the work of a bear with garbage cans up turned and trash on the driveway. We had a lovely stay and if we ever went back to Pigeon Forge I’d definitely book this VRBO again.

Thanksgiving In the Smokies

This is the fourth time we have spent Thanksgiving in Pigeon Forge. The general rating is very good. At check in there was a problem with the door code. Through the efforts of host and VRBO the problem was solved withing fifteen minutes. There was plenty of room for the 8 adults and 1 teenager in the cabin. The cabin was clean (this is a big deal with my wife) and supplied as descripted in VRBO. All appliances worked which is good. An added plus was a Christmas tree and fireplace. Both were a nice touch. We enjoyed our stay and rate Micheal as an excellent host.

Thoroughly Enjoyed our Stay

We had a wonderful 6 day stay at this cabin, 4 adults and two children. Everything is so close, gas stations, Kroger, Publix, the Island, shopping, all within a mile from the Parkway (the main road through Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg). The cabin is very clean and the hosts responded almost immediately when I had a couple of questions. We did not do any cooking but the kitchen is very clean and well equipped with everything you would need. The beds were comfortable. The grandchildren, ages 3 and 4 loved the lower level which had the video games. It was hard to get them away from the games. They also got to sleep in bunk beds for the first time. The pool was open but since we were gone most of the day during our visit, it wasn't used much. You can see the pool from the decks, its just a few walking steps away from the front door, very convenient. The hosts were very kind, they were prompt when booking and they sent informative emails regarding the cabin and the area. I would definitely book this cabin again.

Chillin in the Smokies

Cabin was very clean with plenty of amenities! There was 8 of us staying there and we had plenty of room! We fixed many meals in their well stocked kitchen, complemented by a nice gas grill! And there was plenty of seating. We were able to park all 3 of our vehicles at the cabin. And took full advantage of the community pool right next to our cabin! Communication with the host was most excellant!

There were six adults and two children. The bedrooms were nice and clean and we all enjoyed our rooms. We were right next door to the pool and the kids loved it.
