Not worth the money

The Hotel has so much potential but there is a clear lack of care. During breakfast the linen was dirty. The breakfast was poor considering it cost R200 per person. The hotel is not cheap, but leaves a lot to be desired.

Never again!

Have been using Redlands for over 20 years - even celebrated milestone family events at the hotel. Never again - it is in a very poor state of disrepair with many things broken and staff have an apathetic attitude towards customer service. Dont believe the manager when she says the air conditioners are being fixed - we were told the same thing nearly a year ago and still broken. We chose to give Redlands another chance because of the convenience of its location - rather be inconvenienced and stay elsewhere! A great shame!

Positives: Receptionist Brenda very friendly & very helpful. Hotel was nice & clean Negatives: Hotel needs a fair amount of maintenance. Doors & locks are loose in their fittings; bathrooms are dated & getting very tatty. Taps dont open & close easily. Toilet seats have chips in them. TVs in rooms are pathetically small.

For the rate ....breakfast not included and i booked the premier suite. The hotel was noisy and i couldnt get much sleep. Better value for money BnB and smaller establishments available.

It was a good place to stay, no room service after 10 and the local area is a little dangerous to be getting a bite at that time. Staff are awesome.

Room was tired - curtain off hook, keot tripping on rug turned up at edges, wallpaper in bathroom peeling - needs refurb. Very rude housekeeper. Took nearky 60mins to get 2 cokes and oiecexspple pie through room service

The only 2 things I was not happy with were that there were no complimentary welcome drinks (other than the tea/coffee implements - not even water) and breakfast was not included in the price. Otherwise the staff was friendly and helpful.
