"The Days Inn in Piedras Negras, Mexico seems to be part of a bigger expansion of town heading south--the first wave which forty years ago. The better hotels are further out. The hot breakfast was satisfactory. The outdoor pool was not in working order during my stay. I would have enjoyed a refreshing swim in the near 90-degree weather. Some places to eat were within half a mile, but the majority were further out where the newer hotels were. A Catholic church is within walking distance, and the well-known Oxxo convenience store is three blocks away."
