Lori and Todd were fantastic hosts! The house was super clean, the amenities were better than described, and this was the perfect bungalow for a weekend getaway. We will definitely look to stay here in the future.
This was our second stay at this great little getaway spot, and once again, it did not disappoint. Start to finish and top to bottom, everything about the house and property were perfect for what we wanted - a simple and quiet getaway with a chance to fully relax and enjoy life.
The place is so pretty, well stocked kitchen including coffee and essentials for guests, clean, screened in porch, creek side, lovely sound of moving water, fire pit with everything needed for your enjoyment. Not far from many hiking trails and breweries. Great getaway!
It was quiet, serene, scenery was beautiful. Those four days were not enough. We especially enjoyed the screen in porch. We would consider renting the cottage again, it is a gem, tucked in the forest.

The hosts ad property were fantastic! My wife, son, and I had a relaxing and recharging weekend stay here on the river. We hiked crabtree falls, and from there the only entertainment we needed was listening to the sounds of the river behind us as we enjoyed our stay. The home was cozy, the screened in porch was perfect for morning coffee and late night talking, and the backyard feels like its own campground, where you can fish, wade in the river, and cook s'mores over the campfire. It was a very peaceful and relaxing bungalo, and everything we needed to recharge.

From the moment you arrive on the well treed property you feel like you’re in a little bit of paradise. The back of the property leads down to the river flowing by and the sound of the water rushing over the rocks gives a very pleasant place to relax next to the fire pit.
The well appointed bungalow is wonderfully appointed with a fishing and outdoor theme and it’s so comfortable and inviting. Makes you just want to move in.
Lori and Todd we’re so easy to contact by phone or text just to give a heads up of our arrival and departure.
Everything could not have gone smoother or better. I couldn’t recommend this place anymore than to say I would gladly go back there every weekend!

I loved everything about this little slice of heaven. Very peaceful and serene.
Quiet, comfortable, little house close to local trails, wineries, etc. The river is beautiful and makes a convient fishing or relaxing spot. Hosts are super friendly and had everything ready when we arrived.
This was the perfect spot to spend my birthday weekend with my husband. The cabin was beautiful and cozy. The river was peaceful. Great property and amazing hosts!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is small but has everything that we needed. The back porch overlooking the river is the shining star of this little gem. It's the perfect place to go to get away from it all and relax. Our hosts were very nice and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again.
Fireflies, smores, and a tranquil stream created an atmosphere for both me and my grandchild. What a beautiful place to explore and make memories together!
Beautiful property and perfect little house with large and very comfortable screened in porch for taking in the river view if you’re not sitting around the fire pit. Convenient location to whatever your wanting to do. The host provides five star service.
My husband and I wanted to get away to relax. Lori and Todd went above and beyond...gave us so much info on places to go. Had several storms and river was high, but Todd gave my husband a lot of info on fishing spots nearby. House is perfect and the large screened porch was perfect! We would highly recommend and plan to visit again!
My husband and I stayed had a great weekend stay at the bungalow. It was very clean and peaceful. The screened in porch is great for the hot and buggy Virginia summers. The central AC and wifi were also a treat. One thing to note is that if you are driving back at night make sure you have your GPS on, the road is dark and winding and you can easily miss the house.
My husband and I stayed for a few days right after our wedding. We had a great time!! Super quiet and peaceful little spot. Adorable little house which had everything we needed and then some. We appreciated the WiFi so we could keep in touch with our families. The river was awesome! My husband even caught a fish! We definitely hope to go back again!
My wife and I have a great stay. The pictures do not do the property justice. The screened back porch is huge, overlooking the backyard down to the river. The house itself was immaculate clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The location offers peace and quiet, with easy access to nearby hiking and breweries. We may have to return for a longer stay.

First of all, let me say the owner was gracious and communication was excellent. We did not have a good experience with the property but did with the owner. The house is decorated cute with a pumpkin on the porch & on the back porch table and snacks & drinks. There is a cute bar on the back porch, but unfortunately the entire porch area was filthy. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed an odor, some cleanliness issues and overall disappointment with the property, but it was after dark with no hotels I could find nearby so we stayed. The bed was way more comfortable than it looked but I found stickers on the sheets as if they were new and unwashed. The description says “secluded” and “private” but it was neither. The house sits close to the road which curves around the house making the entire house & all the back porch visible to cars. The water is quite a long ways from the house down a much steeper embankment than the pics showed making it not navigable for us to fish as planned. We stayed 1 night, both woke up w allergy symptoms, running noses, itching eyes, & my asthma was triggered. I truly believe a previous guest had pets and the house was not thoroughly cleaned. I messaged w the owner who came to “investigate our claims”. Went to breakfast & the owner msg they would issue a partial refund so we left. The owner immediately refunded part of their net payment (we ended up paying over 400 w taxes, ins & fees for 1 nt) I did appreciate any refund!
