It is a wonderful historic Thai house inside the old walled city.
They are kind, helpful and have bikes to ride all over town and even drove me to the bus station when I went to Nan .
The house is full of Thai antiques and lush gardens.
I highly appreciate the warm hospitality of this home stay. They catered the needs of their guests. The owner guided us around his awesome antique teak wood house. On the day we check out, the owner also offered us free ride to the bus station. Highly recommended to other travellers who plan to stay in Phrae.
What an absolutely amazing experience! Baanthep is, by far, the best experience we have ever had in a Homestay property. If we could have stayed there for a year, we would have!!
The entire family is welcoming and so focused on making the stay not just enjoyable, but memorable. The grounds are unique, the history is phenomenal and the passion for what they have built makes the experience. Just wandering around on the property with the family is tremendous!
The best meals we had in Phrae came from the Homestay. I wish we had more time to sample more of the amazing food.
This is, by far, the greatest Homestay out there! It is worth spending time and having what will be the experience of a lifetime.
THANK YOU for making our stay so enjoyable. You have become family to us...
Like staying in a private museum. it takes 30 minutes just to view the collection. Very beautiful garden too. And they gave a lift back to the bus station. 5*.
An astonishing collection of Thai art, both high art and popular, that takes about a half hour just to walk through. It is a true collection of a singular vision, heavy on the seventies carved elephants.
The gardening is some of the best I have seen in Thailand. This all needs to be presented in an expensive coffee table art book. If this place were in Chiang Mai, rather than remote Phrae, it would cost triple and be impossible to book.
Staff treats you like family, whips you up a beautiful, simple meal full of garden herbs, and drives you to the bus station in the morning.
Legendary, lost in time, magical.
