Charming House On The Hill With Views Of The Anaconda Range And Flint Creek
Claim your slice of paradise and spend a carefree vacation in a quaint setting on the hill overlooking Philipsburg (see video; picture 3/24). Built in 1912, the Huffman house displays it original charm with inspiring views of the Anaconda range and Flint Creek valley. The house has a fully-equipped kitchen with filtered cold tap water in the kitchen and bathroom, along with new appliances including dishwasher, garbage, microwave, disposal, and heated floor in the bathroom. When not enjoying the outdoors, log on to the Wi-Fi network to contact friends and family, or watch the local television stations or Netflix. There is a telephone for local calls, washer-dryer in the basement, iron and ironing board in the closet, hair dryer in the bathroom, and a new barbecue grill on the back deck. Relax on an inviting front porch gazing at the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness, while imaging the view during the silver mining boom of the 1880s. Our property is smoke-free, so please enjoy the view from the back deck or front porch while smoking.
The Huffman house is a 2 minute (0.3 mile) walk to main street, where you will find restaurants, shops selling everything from local sapphires to candy, a brew pub, and during the winter months a skating and ice hockey rink. From the house there is immediate access to hiking and mountain biking trails in to the Flint Creek Range, and it is a short drive to Granite ghost town, Georgetown Lake and Discovery Ski area. For a longer adventure follow the 40-mile Philipsburg Valley Scenic Loop, 8 miles of which follows Rock Creek famous for world-class fly fishing. Philipsburg is located near the halfway-point between Yellowstone (201 miles) and Glacier (205 miles) National Parks. Come spend a night, weekend week or more in this peaceful setting on the hill in Philipsburg.

We had an overall great stay at the Huffman house! What an amazing location to take in all the charm that Philipsburg has to offer. I highly recommend this house!
As always, the Huffman House did not disappoint. The house is immaculate, well stocked with every piece of kitchen gear we needed and then some. We enjoy the central location to the sweet town of Philipsburg and the porch view with log rockers. I can't say it enough...perfect! The owners are terrific too!!
Responsive management company - house was perfect for our getaway. Kitchen was stocked with all the appliances and tools needed. Two kitchen knives available, both dull however. Bathroom was great and the beds comfortable.
This historic home was a delight for our family and pets. The property is well kept and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend in Philipsburg. The yard was wonderful, though the fence was a little short and we worried our dogs might leap and chase after the deer that frequent the neighborhood. The views are expansive and the property felt very private. The owner and property manager were very responsive and communication was easy.
Quaint and clean historic old home just on the edge of the main downtown street of Philipsburg in a quiet neighborhood. It was great being able to come with our dog (but fence is not very tall so medium/large dog that likes to escape could easily jump over). Beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom and kitchen were clean and modern.
We had a great time. The home was great for family dinners, and relaxing on the front porch (need two more porch chairs). It would have been nice to have a private 3rd bedroom. We love it. Hope to stay again. Thank you.
Thank you for your great hospitality. We found the house immaculate and we appreciated the book of manuals for the small appliances. I now want an electric tea kettle! I'm positive we will be returning and look forward to staying at your home.
Warmly, John and Kathi
The home itself is as pictured but it does appear more secluded and higher up than it is. Neighbors diagonal from the house left alot to be desired if you're older, probably would be okay if younger. The house was very clean except for the grill. Still close to town and quiet most nights
The house is cozy and clean. There was everything we needed and more. The owner left us a gift, very sweet of them. I loved the house and the views and the town. The deer are abundant, got to see them everyday. Only downside and may be an oversight, but the house is 2 bedrooms, not 3 as listed. Also, the games and puzzles need updating, lots of missing pieces.
Wonderful views. Had all you need for kitchen utensils and supplies. Very nice inside. Very relaxing away from hustle and bustle. Homey. Comfortable.
Some points;
Had a number of spiders in house.
Back porch would be nice with table and chairs.
Some decking and rails on west porch need to be replaced.
Road rough.
Double/full bed could use a new mattress
Queen was great.
Would be nice to add more counter space, maybe a roll around butcher block unit with shelving/storage for kitchen for things renters bring with.
Very charming abode in a great town of Philipsburg! This place was so comfy as a base for wedding activities, especially since it was close to a destination wedding for my niece. Well-appointed, the owners didn't miss a thing for comfort!
The place was great and the hosts were easy to get ahold of if needed. They had all the essential supplies for the kitchen and bathroom! Super close to the town. Would stay there again!
I just love staying at this cozy home! My husband and I have booked it before so we knew what a great place it is to stay! Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation home!
