Perfect for our trip

The property was charming and in the perfect location in Old Town. The traffic can get noisy on the weekend, but otherwise it was everything we could ask for.

Awesome location!

My family of 6 had a great stay. Awesome location, walking distance to all the sites and lots of restaurants. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond to all questions.

Quaint historical gem

Charming, comfortable piece of history! After a long day of visiting Philadelphia’s art a culture this was the perfect retreat! Our host was helpful, the location was perfect!

Great house, nicely appointed, tastefully decorated, comfortable furniture, safe, peaceful area, easy to walk to so many places, easy to communicate with the owner. Would definitely stay here again.

Fun in Philly

The neighborhood was beautiful, the home is historic and lovely but with all the modern amenities. So many great restaurants and tourist sites are within walking distance. Highly recommend this place!

4th of July Fun

If you are looking to be close to a ton of historical places, this is definitely the place to stay. So many things within a short walking distance. The property is very charming, but has everything you need. If you are planning a Philadelphia trip - look no further - this is the property for you!

Beautiful Home In Walking Distance to the Bell

Fantastic home located in a beautiful historical neighborhood. Area was extremely walkable and friendly. Within walking distance of Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Duane was an amazing host, extremely responsive and friendly. Highly recommend.

Philly Weekend

Great house in a great location for our weekend away in Philly. It’s located in a relatively quiet area in the city, lots of playgrounds and places to grab a bite to eat or a coffee nearby. Very family friendly neighborhood. House was very clean and beds were comfortable. The owner was easy to communicate with. Will definitely use this place again for future trips to the city!

Perfect Location!

We went to Philly for a concert held at the Theatre of Living Arts, located about 4 blocks away from this rental. Not only is the house walking distance from the venue, it's in a safe and historic neighborhood, also walking distance to all of the Revolutionary Era sites and attractions. Street parking can be an issue, so we were happy to park our car in a nearby garage, and we walked everywhere. It's a fantastic location!

Perfect for a Philly Weekend

This townhouse is well located and well suited for a viait to Philly. We walked easily to shopping, tourist sites and lots of good restaurants. Note that the place is old. Its creaky and the stairs are narrow and steep. It suites us to a "T." Shout out to the owner who was available as needed and very accommodating.

Not again

Location is fabulous. Unit is cute. Stairs are a pain in the butt. I felt the listing and communication from owner could have been better. Listing states parking. Doesn’t say 2 hours only, otherwise use parking garage or pay owner $30 for 15 day pass. Instructions for access key pad could have used more details. We had 3 couples arrive at different times. All had a lot of issues getting in. There’s a code. But numbers on access pad appear more than once. Entering the code isn’t enough. You have to hit circle at bottom. Not obvious. Still took multiple attempts. Sheets on bed in basement not clean. Hairs, crumbs. Is trundle bed. Had to call to figure out how to pull it out. There are drawers that pull out but shelf that comes out to create bed not obvious. We had to wash sheets before using. Seemed to be limited towels for 6 people. Finally found remaining in dryer. During stay, one guest poured coffee in to a mug that had a crack. Entire bottom came off. Clearly secondary to defect in mug. Just received notice credit card being charged $20 for the mug. Beyond ridiculous. So petty. Wasn’t going to leave a review because while loved the location, thought too many issues to recommend. Not great communication. Lack of attention to detail with sheets and towels. But overall neutral and felt best just to say nothing. Not endorse. Not complain. But the $20 charge for a mug that was clearly defective has compelled this review. No longer neutral opinion of this rental.

This is a beautiful and clean property in a great location. Parking is nearby and we had no trouble using the 20 minute loading and unloading spots for checking in and checking out.

It's a wonderful occasion when a Vrbo home is better than the online listing. We truly enjoyed the experience living right in the heart of Society Hill for a few days. The home was extremely clean. Everything inside the home we needed was provided for us. We felt secure and safe. The AC worked wonderfully. It was great to be in walking distance to so many historical sites. The bedrooms were good size and comfortable. Bathroom was super clean, shower worked perfectly, no issues. There is no dedicated parking space for this property. The host set us up with a parking permit which allowed us to leave our car in a spot beyond the posted time limits. There is a 10 charge/day, but it is cheaper than putting it in the garage. It can be a challenge to find a parking spot. Your parallel parking skills will get a workout. I was always able to find a spot within a block from the house.Philly is basically a big grid. It didn't take long to get used to driving around town. Use SpotHero to get parking in different areas, it helps.Our dog stayed with us. There is a Veterans' park two blocks from the house toward the river that had a large grassy area for our pup.Check in and check out was very simple and straight-forward.

Great experience

Property is really well situated, close to alot of the Philly locales. Really nice neighborhood, and the accommodations are top notch. Next I am in Philly will look to rent this again
