Decent Overnight Experience

The room was super humid and shows the renovation wear and tear over the years, but it was nice that they had the AC running super cool. What someone would expect for a $70 hotel near the airport, but the bed was super comfortable for a Motel 6 so I don’t have complaints as an overnight layover. They even have a free shuttle service, just call the front desk and wait at B4.

It is conveniently located, easy check in and out. Cordial employee at guest service. But room was dirty, including bathroom and towels. Towels were also stained. A/C was noisy and threw water inside the room. Poorly maintained!

This Motel 6 is a short distance from Philadelphia International Airport and that is its greatest strength. Check-in was easy and fast. The rooms, the sheets, and the towels are clean. Sounds from other rooms are muffled, but still softly audible. The lighting is bright but harsh. There are no rugs, which is not necisarily a flaw, but ads to the starkness of the room. There is plenty of space, but only the bed to sit on. The early-morning shuttle was punctual and the driver was exceptionally friendly and upbeat, which is welcome after a gruelling day of postponed flights. This is a convenient and highly economical hotel.

Great location and value; bugs not so much.

The location and price were great. The clerk at check in (we got there late due to delayed flight) was EXCELLENT. The room was updated and very nice. The shuttle did not show up. We had to buy an Uber (said there had been a death in the family so they would not get there until 200 am but we landed late already at 1230 am). We killed two roaches (one in the shower and one in the room). We put our stuff off the floor and kept the room ice cold (they apparently don't like that). We are sealing our bags at home for a week to kill them before we bring them in. But for the bugs, it is a great value

Their service was good. The only problem is we had a long layover, and everything. Around the area was booked. So we gave it the benefit of a doubt according to the photos. Well, those pictures were very deceiving because when we got there, it was a strong smell smell of smoke. We could hardly breathe. And never mind, get rest, we woke up the next day, smelling like we had smoked cigarettes, and we are not smokers and smelled liked it. We were traumatized by our experience. So hopefully this helps other people not fall for the pictures online. Ps i couldn't take a peaceful p*** because i' a roach appeared, and so I will sit in at the toilet.

Airport motel good

The reason we stayed is American Airlines canceled with no provisions. So this was close and well air conditioned and clean with a 24 hour shuttle. Front desk lady was a GEM

The property is very close to the airport and the shuttle service is convenient. but the rooms are filthy sheets had burn marks and yellow bathroom had mold in the ceiling. they had no towels despite having a two bed room it came with only one towel.

Place seems sketchy from the outside (of course, this is Philly so it is what it is) but it’s quite nice in the rooms. Doors locked and I felt totally safe. Staff was incredibly helpful and the place got the job done

Not a good experience, we definitely don’t recommend this hotel. Check in took 30 minutes, trying 5 different rooms and more than 20 keycards, before we finally got into a room. There were no blankets on the bed, only sheets, and we had to ask for them. There was only 1 large towel, not even bath size, and no shampoo. Paint was peeling from the walls and ceiling and the floors were so dirty our bare feet turned brown walking on them. The woman at the front counter was very nice and I felt sorry for her, and it was a convenient shuttle to the airport.

I checked in at 2am By 3am (1 hour later I had checked out and reported it to Orbitz on the chat. 1. Strong Marijuana smell in the room 2. Blood stains on sheets 3. Cockroaches in the room (this was the last straw) I took pictures and submitted them. Please consider issuing a refund. I tried working with the hotel staff. I was tired at 2am and didn’t want to go anywhere else. The staff gave me clean sheets. The staff also noted the strong marijuana smell. I didn’t want to get a smoking charge. (My wife and I do not smoke) but the cockroaches was the last straw. I will NOT sleep with cockroaches roaming the sheets and bed at night

Never Again

I reserved a handicap accessible room on the Motel 6 site. On check in I was told that they had no handicap accessible rooms! The room that I accepted had a queen bed that was comfortable. One of the three lights in the bedroom did not work. The light above the bathroom sink did not work. The tv worked well but there was no remote control. The shower was acceptable but there were no grab bars and the shower rod was bowed outward, making it dangerous to use to steady myself. There was a gaping hole stuffed by what appeared to be a brown paper sack where the front wall joined the side wall opposite to the side farthest from the door. I was concerned that vermin might enter the room through that hole. I would report the conditions to the local health authorities if I were not 81. I have stayed at many motels include Motel 6 and never in my life have I encountered such an abysmal room. I stayed because there was no alternative available to me.

Avoid Motel 6 Philly Airport at all cost! The grumpy front desk lady tried to say I didn't pre-pay, even though I paid through Orbitz. She forced us to pay $40 for parking, even though it is listed as free parking and free ROUNDTRIP airport shuttle. She wanted $96 at first... I reserved a non-smoking room with 2 beds. First room reeked of smoke, and had an ashtray, sheets and towels were dirty, cracks in ceiling, stained tub, sketchy parking. When I complained, the lady claimed that I reserved smoking, until I showed her the Orbitz reservation, then she claimed it was a non-smoking room. 2nd room she gave us still smelled like smoke, and only had 1 bed. Third room was so-so, but it was late and we were exhausted, but we didn't get any sleep, because people were in the parking lot talking, partying, yelling, knocking on doors, and honking horns all night. Orbitz customer service was not helpful at all either. Terrible experience, horrible service, disgusting rooms, bad location, all around terrible. The airport shuttle driver was friendly and prompt, so he was the ONLY positive. NO ONE should EVER book at room there again, and Orbitz NEEDS to remove this motel from their site. I also will never book through Orbitz again.
