The Rho is a cute hotel in a fantastic location in Amsterdam. Great lobby. But, you are paying for location rather than comfort and the costs are pretty high. Rooms are small and basic. The twin rooms are crowded for more than 1 adult. The major problem we experienced having two rooms on the next to top floor of the building ( and the top floor of the hotel) was the person living in an apartment on the upper floor who stomped (why is a mystery) all night long, every night. We tried to enlist the help of management. They acknowledged someone lived on the top floor of the building but were unable to do anything about it. We talked nicely to the person in the room and she was apologetic but didn't stop. They should at least warn people being placed on that floor or reduce the price of those rooms with full information what people will be experiencing. Having said that the staff were friendly and responsive -- perhaps they just had no power on this. But please warn people.

Tiny room! Bed is wall to wall and tiny bathroom but very clean and that is all you need for a couple nights. 2 minutes from the bus station to bring you to Centraal. Great price for the location. Super helpful staff at the little snack restaurant downstairs. Would definitely recommend.

Overall an excellent hotel for the price given the location. The bathroom had some signs of wear and tear and wasn't well ventilated. The floors could also use a good deep cleaning.
