"Great place to have a relaxing time. I recommend it. However: The signage outside is very poor. I nearly abandoned looking for reception. The ladder out of the pool feels unsafe. The time to serve cooked food was too long, an average of 30mins. The lift would benefit from labels such as Reception, pool and restaurant; Rooms x to y etc. Despite this I would visit again. The friendliness of the staff is to be commended"

"Beautiful views and great staff, but missed details on a triple occupancy room The sea view from our room was the icing on the cake! The Ami is a fabulous hotel with truly great staff. We rated it 4 stars due to a few areas that need attention, particularly regarding our room setup. Despite booking for three guests, on arrival and the room was under-equipped. We were not provided with adequate towels, balcony chairs, or tea-making facilities for three people. Housekeeping also missed replenishing our bottled water on some days. The shower area was starting to develop mould, which a little extra cleaning could easily fix. Additionally, the room slippers were the lowest quality I have ever experienced at a 5-star property. Dining had a few drawbacks as well: every single dessert was sprinkled with pistachios (a letdown since I do not eat nuts), and service at the breakfast omelette station was painfully slow"

"Super nice hotel, staff friendly , rooms nice and clean ( get a room with pool view ). We were there end of June so plenty of sun loungers by upper and lower pool and also by the beach . Breakfast buffet amazing , Mexican restaurant top choice for lunch , the fine dining restaurant superb . It’s worth walking down the road to try the local restaurant/s too . We went twice during our 7 day stay . Kotor old town, beautiful ! Only 15 min or so from Kotor but taxi is a rip off , 20 euro there and 30 euro back ( after significant negotiation ) there is a bus alternative but unreliable schedule . Take a boat trip , we took a private hire , def worth it , arranged by hotel . Gym is well equipped , tried a nice deep tissue massage as well and loved it !"

Merit Starlit Hotel Casino & SPA

"The staff at the hotel and concierge were extremely helpful and we had a great experience! The breakfast was amazing, and the hotel also provides access to private beach! However, there was an incident on our last night where the fire alarm went off at 1AM. All the hotel guests were evacuated and we ended up exiting from the casino in the hotel. The staff at the casino were extremely rude and did not provide instructions on how to exit the building at all. They all stood there and looked at all the hotel guests, then another staff from casino were rushing to get us out of the casino, not providing any instructions on where and what to do to get out of the building. Clearly the staff at the casino weren't trained to respond in this situation."

"Staff were very helpful and the bar was open late and they did food which was great. However the room and building could have been cleaner, and it felt a little run down. Small things like lack of lift made an big impact. Also pool is away for bar area so you don't get anyone coming to offer drinks (its up a hill beside a different building). That being said I think if you ordered at the bar the helpful staff would bring it to you. It's also a little out of the way and the bus service is not great. Overall for the price and fantastic staff it's perfectly fine. Just go in with your eyes open."
