The Village community of Harbor Springs is quaint. Only 5 minutes away, you can enjoy fine dining, antiques, local artisans, and boutiques in this classy little town. Sail boat regattas are popular here. If you enjoy biking you can ride the path from Harbor Springs, through Petoskey, to Charlavoix. The Fall is beautiful, and the 'tunnel of trees', a must.
Other equally quaint towns include Good Heart, Cross Village, Petoskey, Boyne City, Charlavoix, and Mackinaw City. All have much to offer, and each town not more than 30 minutes away. All towns have local art, and craft shows throughout the summer.
Boyne Highlands is a ski and golf resort, and is across the street.
Cross Village is known for 'The Legs Inn', great Polish cuisine, and Three Pines, an artisan shop. Good Hart, great little gift shops, and General Store.
Petoskey is home to the Odawa Casino. You can enjoy gambling or take in a live entertainment show. Great boutiques, fine dining, parasailing, and MUCH more.
Boyne Mountain/City enjoy skiing, large indoor water park, shops, and dining.
Charlavoix is mostly a summer place. Great art and craft shows, and the Venetian festival is fun and the boat show of lights is amazing.
Bay Harbor is known for its Harbor, and Championship Golf Courses. Wonderful fine dining, and boutiques.
Mackinaw City is the furthest drive. Enjoy the Fort, many fudge shops, boutiques, and restaurants. Take a Ferry Boat if you want to experience going back in time, on Mackinac Island.
Most of these quaint towns are on Lake Michigan, where you may find yourself your very own Petoskey Stone.
Visit, and make yourself at home.

This place was a hop skip and a jump from nubs bob and close to highlands as well. The place was able to handle 4 adults and 4 kids nicely. This place has everything you need for a great ski weekend.
Great location close to Harbor Springs. Allowed us to use the house as a base camp for beach days, hiking, and charter boat fishing for a long weekend getaway.
Perfect rustic lodge steps away from Nubs Nob. The fireplace and sauna were fantastic post skiing. Hosts were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.
We had a wonderful weekend! Beautiful location, the cabin was clean and so inviting. The spa and sauna were great added bonuses after 2 full days of skiing. We can highly recommend staying here and look forward to coming again next ski season.
We had our family and friends of our teenage kids up for a couple nights over NYE. The house had plenty of space to hang out, play card games and have a great celebration.
Quiet home in a wonderful, wooded community. Great for relaxing, walking and enjoying all that the area has to offer. Close to the beach, Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Upper deck and swing are great places to take a break.
Property was great and had everything we needed. While not in town for skiing the property is in a great location for biking, going to town or even doing a short trip to Mackinaw (did not do that this time). Around 20 minutes away from everything which was perfect. No excessive drives.

Fantastic location to ski Nubs
Amazing location for skiing at Nubs Nob. Cute place but kitchen could use some TLC (and good cleaning). Missing key kitchen items (ie. cutting board, measuring cups & spoons). Great location to ski but no real space for gear so lower level can get really tight fast.
Feels like an “up north” home. Ski Locker is great!
Kim is a wonderful host. We enjoyed our stay. Everything was exactly as promised. Entry was easy. The ski locker at Nubs is really a huge advantage. We used it everyday. Good idea to get all the snow off your equipment before storing to avoid puddles. Property is very close to Nubs. Our group came back to the house for lunch every day. It’s nice to take a break and have some warm soup or chili. I brought a crock pot since there isn’t one in the house. The description does not mention a dishwasher, and we knew that ahead of time, so we took turns washing up. Lots of hot sudsy water. It was a little more work than I expected. We like the washer and dryer. The sauna is very very nice especially after a long day out in the cold. Good WiFi strength and there is cable TV = bonus. The big bear in the corner is a fun addition. We posed for a few pics!!
The host does not take constructive criticism well, but that is just the start of what the host does not do well. From the prior reviews you can see, it is always the guests fault, or slander! (which it would be libel not slander but oh well).
The host intentionally misleads her guests in their description of the property entirely.
For example, this house is not ski-in, ski-out from anything. The host advertises it this way in order to lure in guests. But admits in her messages with us that we should know better and that ski-in ski-out does not exist at Nub's Nob. The host boasts that you can use her private locker at Nub's Nob which makes it ski-in ski-out from the resort parking lot (same as everyone else). However, Nub's Nob will not let renters use her private locker room at Nub's Nob. In fact, it is strictly prohibited by Nub's Nob and Nub's Nob strictly enforces their rules. Do not plan on having use of the locker.
Next, the house is not a 2 minute walk to Nub's Nob. In ski boots, it is likely a 15-20 minute uphill walk. So, at that point you are likely driving up to the resort anyways.
Finally, the home is in need of a little more than TLC. In fact, it is really a dump.
We attempted to constructively work through the fact that the listing was inaccurate and the host became combative and refused to offer even a middle ground solutions to the issue. Stay away from this host and listing.
Excellent communication. Some technical difficulties were experienced, but the hosts were kind enough to accommodate us with a late check out. The pull out couch was incredibly comfortable! Enjoyed our weekend and the amazing sauna.
This property was the perfect location for our long weekend. They had everything we needed which helped to make our stay a great one. Would definitely stay again.
This rental is fantastic and very clean. It has everything you need and is a short drive to Boyne Highlands. We stay here every season and plan to continue down the road!
This place was perfect for our up north ski vacation. Great location, very clean and very cozy. The owners were very kind and responsive, you can’t ask for much more.
Our family enjoyed this VRBO. We had a great time and enjoyed the proximity to Nubs Nob. We had great communication with the homeowner. We would stay here again!
Stayed a couple nights at this very convenient home with friends enjoying a long weekend of golf at Boyne Highlands. Great fit for a small group, easy to find, nice fire pit outside to hang in the evening. Would definitely stay again!
We absolutely loved our stay here. The house was very spacious and clean and communication from the owners was always swift and detailed. The location worked great for our group as it was walking distance from both Nub's Nob and Boyne Highlands.
This place was perfect for our family of 4! So close to everything and had everything we needed to be comfortable for 4 days while our boys participated in hockey camp. Would definitely stay here again next year if available!
