"A cottage well equipped to make meals, enjoy sunsets in porch without worry of mosquitos, equipment for folks who enjoy water sports. However, no TV coverage, only WIFI so evenings , if not folks who enjoy doing games, watching DVDs, evenings can be boring. Toilet usage can be a bit troublesome if a large group as takes time for removal of wastes via toilet. Overall, for us, it met our needs. "

"The smell of the water was unreal, comparable to rotten eggs. Could not shower without gagging. Listing is for 8 people and yet there was enough cutlery for 6. Garbage was to go in the shed/ when the shed was opened we were assaulted by flies due to there being 30 or so bags piled up. Three chairs for the fire pit ( cottage sleeps 8!)"

"We were looking for an adapted cottage by the water so my 87-year old mother could join us and the kids. This cottage was perfect for us! It's very quiet, well appointed, very clean, and a great spot for swimming and water sports (kayaking, paddle boarding, etc..). We loved it! And so did my elderly mother who is mobile, but really appappretiated the disability features. Renée is a fantastic host. "

"The trailer was older but fully functional. Heat and fans for temperature control. There was lots of space to park and set up tents, the kitchen sink and stove worked well and the bbq was very helpful. The space was very nice with trails, canoeing, and the full camping experience. Great private quiet spot in the valley! Thanks Josh and family! "

"We stayed as a family of four with two young children at the end of summer. The property is beautiful and the water very shallow quite a ways out so it was perfect for our 1.5 and 2.5 year olds. They had a blast playing in the water, riding around in the kayak and playing with some beach toys provided. "The property was nicely secluded, with multiple trails leading up to the top of the escarpment with a lovely view of Golden Lake. The cabin itself was clean and cozy, and the AC was perfect for sleeping as we went in a 35° July heatwave. Great little fire pit with affordable firewood supplied by the hosts. Be mindful of leaving any dry food in the screened-in kitchenette if going out for more than an hour -- the local chipmunks are hungry and know what they're looking for. Only minor...

"I absolutely loved this place!! We stayed for a week. Megan was quick to respond the the couple of questions I had at the beginning. The location was amazing! It was so beautiful! The size was perfect for me and my friend! We went out on the kayak and paddleboard into the inlet, which was an amazing place to paddle! We saw turtles and herons and fish! It was close to town for supply runs. We spend the entire time relaxing and recharging. It was exactly the vacation I was looking for! "

"Many thanks to Debbi and her family for hosting us in this lovely chalet. We visited during the winter and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the chalet. I thought that I would miss having access to an oven but it turned out that the stove top and toaster oven met our needs. A walk to the Gerber beach and view of the frozen Golden Lake was lovely.
