Welcome to this private one-floor single-family house in a quiet residential area. Approximately 800 square feet (74 m2) of space. There are 3 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom plus a small living room area and fully functional and spacious kitchen. Convenient and quiet area close to major highways. Not far from Newark Airport (EWR) and New York City. Bus stop four blocks away. Good for families, tourists, traveling workers, interns, etc. No parties, events, or smoking anywhere on the property -- this is strictly enforced.

You will have access to the entire home, including a nice and spacious back yard. You will not have access to the basement, which is used by the owner for the owner’s storage.

This is a quiet, residential neighborhood made up of mostly single-family homes. Downtown Perth Amboy and Downtown Woodbridge are both nearby. Shopping and restaurants also in the nearby area. Major highways are easily accessible and the NJ Transit Bus No. 48 is four blocks away from the house.

This house is located in an area close to the Garden State Parkway, NJ Turnpike, Route 1 and Route 9, etc. Driving to the house is quite easy. If you don`t have a car, NJ Transit Bus No. 48 stops just four blocks away from the house. This bus can take you to Woodbridge Train Station (about a 5 minute bus ride). From there, you can catch a train to New York City. The travel time from this house to Penn Station New York is about 1 hour and 15 minutes in total.

Self check-in and check-out are available. There is a lockbox with keys at the entry door to the building. We will send you the code to the lock box on the day of your arrival. The code will not be sent in advance.

The check-in window is 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. If you are planning to arrive after 11:00 pm, you must clear this with us. No one will be available to support you during check-in if you arrive very late at night (after 11:00 pm) and your check in will be entirely self-service at those hours. We will not give any refunds if you have issues checking in after 11:00 pm. There is no luggage storage available at the house.

This property has a private driveway with space for two vehicles to park at no additional charge. The parking is included in the rental. Please note that you must park in the driveway. If you park on the streets, we cannot be held responsible for your vehicles.

Please also note that this house is an older house. Some recent guests have arrived with higher expectations than what we can provide given the age of the house. The place looks like the photos in the listing and we keep it clean. It is a basic space with basic amenities. If you are looking for a functional and competitively priced place relatively close to New York City and Newark Airport EWR, this would be a good space for you. If you are looking for a modern and luxury stay, this is probably not the place for you.

We also just want to make clear that you are renting a private house and not a hotel room. There are many differences between house rentals and hotels, and some newer guests may not realize it. Hotels are large and often have many rooms, and the ability to change your room should issues arise. Hotels also have staff 24/7 that can help you with every issue or questions that you may have. On the other hand, we are a small operation and manage our listings to the best of our ability. We try hard to create a good experience for guests. We are including this disclaimer here because I have recently seen a rise in guests that seem to view our listing as very similar to a hotel, but in reality it is quite different. Thank you in advance for understanding this.

Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. You will receive the email and/or text about 30 minutes after you confirm your booking. You will be given the choice between a refundable security deposit (non-refundable administrative fee for this option is $10) or a non-refundable damage waiver (the cost is $35 and is not refundable). This process is required. It is not optional. You will not be given access to the listing unless your status is `approved` from Truvi. You will need a valid credit card or debit card in order to complete this process. We are fully disclosing this here so that a guest cannot claim after booking that this was not disclosed. If you submit a foreign, non-USA identification as part of the verification process, we will ask you to provide a United States government issued ID (e.g. tourist visa, permit to visit the country, state driver license, etc.), and an address and phone number in the United States for our records.

Guests are responsible for bagging all garbage and placing the bags in the bins outside the building, or at the curb, as instructed by the host (host will communicate with guest regarding this).

If your unit has a thermostat and the thermostat is locked, do not tamper with it or try to break open the lock. Doing so is called vandalism and is highly inappropriate. We will withhold your security deposit if you do this and possible submit for more damages depending on the situation.

Also, guests must leave the apartment in the condition they found it (e.g. no leftover food, nothing that creates a need for excessive or deep cleaning). Please wash all dishes that you use, remove food that you`ve brought in, and discard all trash. Our cleaning fee is lower than most and it covers basic cleaning tasks like washing of linens and towels, vacuuming, etc. The cleaning fee does not cover deep cleaning, excessive kitchen and bathroom cleaning, etc. Thanks for your cooperation!

If you check out late, there will be a $100 per hour fee for each hour or fraction of an hour that you stay beyond the check out time.

If you smoke, use incense, use drugs of any kind (including marijuana and cannabis) anywhere on the property including outside areas and common areas, we will charge a $300 fee. If there are damages related to smoking or drug use, we will charge fees in addition to this $300.

There was issues with this booking as there was not adequate heating in the unit as the temperatures outside was 45 degrees and the booking unit had a locked thermostat that only read 55 degrees. I asked numerous times if the heat could be adjusted to accommodate and was not accommodate instead I was told that a refund would be issued immediately as the agent told me that the heat was broken and that my family could not stay this forcing us to scramble and try to find another place to stay. I have requested several updates regarding this refund that never took place. I would not recommend booking with this agent. Total inconvenience and now legal action will take place.
