Firstly, the hosts were incredibly communicative as we had a few issues we had to navigate. One, the description of the property didn't match what we received. We booked through Expedia which was where the discrepancy in the number of bathrooms showed up. We verified later that other listings only showed one bathroom. For this reason, I'm putting blame on Expedia. The second issue we had was a leaky air conditioning unit that dropped water on the sofa bed. We resolved this by moving the bed away from the wall and putting down pots to prevent water from getting everywhere. The host was responsive but being late in the day we couldn't get it resolved that day. There was good. The instructions were super clear. Varenna was absolutely amazing as was the view of Lake Como from our property. Our host, Gabriel was able to provide us a list of taxi services to get from/to the train station. There is a footpath leading down to the town. It has steep areas but it's doable.
